#5 of 7 Specialty lodging in Oceanside
Oceanside RV Resort offers charming accommodations with nearby (6 blocks) access to beautiful seaside sunrises and sunsets. Enjoy a variety of site choices; free Wi-Fi and cable; a clubhouse; pool with spa; a general store; on-site laundry and privacy fences at each site, making your stay here ever so convenient. Our new solar energy system at Oceanside RV Resort helps protect the beautiful resources of the California Coast. With the addition of the photo-voltaic system, we have set a new course toward reducing our ecological footprint in our community. In the system’s first year of operation, electricity generated from our 850 new solar panels prevented 735,000 pounds of carbon dioxide from entering our atmosphere, equivalent to planting 1,341 trees. San Diego’s North Shore, Oceanside, is a classic California beach community boasting warm sandy beaches, a historic wooden pier and harbor village filled with water sports and recreation. The Gateway to San Diego, Oceanside is also central to Southern California’s famous attractions including Legoland, SeaWorld, and the world-famous San Diego Zoo. With its year-round sunny climate, and average temperature of 70 degrees, Oceanside’s weather has been rated by USA Today as the second most ideal climate in the United States, and the fifth most ideal weather in the world.

First there is no security gate. Our 2 bikes and scooter were stolen by the people that live in the camp behind the Resort.Police drive through almost daily looking for someone that has ran into the resort while trying to avoid police. The pool area is littered at times with cigarette butts and water bottles. The showers are cleaned only once a day and that is scary due to COVID.Tight spots.Garbage is regularly over filled. Photography deceiving - not landscaped as pictured - much of the vegetation was missing and what was there looked thirsty/dead, weeds. Table was missing from our site. Phones are never answered. Not enough staff to fufill all obligations of the park that are needed.Glamping is up against train tracks and not as big as it looks in the picture.Trains run every 15 minutes with a honk before they arrive.DISAPPOINTING AT 125.00 A NIGHT

Jacuzzi closed until further notice. Last pool reservation at 5:00 pm (1 hr. time slots due to COVID). Power outage. Bathroom shower drain plugged (they did have nice rain forest shower heads and the bathrooms were clean). Great they had hot water - but temp a concern for young children (nice waterfall faucets). Photography deceiving - not landscaped as pictured - much of the vegetation was missing and what was there looked thirsty/dead, weeds. Table was missing from our site. Have to cross PCH to get to beach (signals at each end of the block). They need a better, bigger sign. We drove by entrance twice before noticing the sign (another camper mentioned not seeing the sign also). Despite 4 people working in the office, no one answered the phone when I called for directions. Glamping is up against train tracks and not as big as it looks in the picture. Camp store. Quiet. Family oriented. We did have a good time, but were disappointed that it wasn't as nice as the pictures.

Went to So Cal to do some martial arts training with my JKD instructor and spent 3 days enjoying the pool and surroundings. The staff in the front office and in the little store they have were very nice and always accommodating. Thanks and See you next year.
