We stayed in a 2 bd 2th suite, with a living room, full kitchen and balcony, it was very spacious for my husband & I and 3 children. The master bdrm has a king size bed & a bathroom, which had a 3 person jetted spa bathtub, a sink and a stand up shower. The 2nd bdrm had a queen size bed. The living area had a small 4 person dining table a 3 person sitting area at the counter a couch and a sleeper sofa. The fully stock kitchen has all the pots & pans, plates, silverware, cups, blender, toaster, coffee maker, basically everything you need to make your own food, you just have to bring the food to cook with. There is also a washer and dryer in the 2nd bath. We also found out that the activity center on the 2nd floor, rents out beach chairs and beach umbrellas! That allowed us to stay at the beach the full day! We love this place and will be back!

We stayed last Christmas for the holidays. Reviews have to be 3 months apart, so having stayed for Thanksgiving also, and writing a review then we didn't plan on writing this review. However last weekend we stayed at the other Wyndham by the harbor, and it was not even close to the amazing Pier Resort. This resort is super friendly, you are made to feel welcome, very clean (both the rooms and comon areas are very well looked after. We have never had a bad stay here. Valerie at the front desk goes out of her way to help (thank you Valerie) Great ocean views, great secure free parking, nice units with a full kitchen, beach just outside your door, it is perfect in every way. If you are not sure which one to stay at, then pick the Pier Resort, you will be glad you did, it is hands down better than the Harbor location.

The Club Wyndham is in the middle of the renaissance of Oceanside which used to be a place to avoid except for the Oceanside Train Station which served to connect LA's Metrolink trains with San Diego's Coaster trains (and Amtrak, too). But the last few years, Oceanside is now one of the hotspots of where to vacation on the coast. The Club Wyndham has been there for a few years but is still a very nice property to stay at with one- and two-bedroom suites, many with a nice view of the Pacific Ocean and the Oceanside Pier. The rooms are comfortable and roomy. It is a timeshare property and the staff will ask you to attend a presentation, but they were not very pushy about it and we did not participate. We had a very nice week's stay and enjoyed the views. It is also very convenient as the wide beach is just across the street and there are many new and good restaurants in town with an interesting assortment of shops. Also not far from Carlsbad and Legoland and shopping.

Great property, but I won't be going back. Giving a bad rating because I was scammed into a presentation which is a new version of timeshare sales, which they call "Vacation Ownership" but really is just a subscription-based model for hotels using points. It's a suspicious product in my opinion. Essentially a big upfront fee and an ongoing payment obligation in exchange for annual points to be used at Wyndham properties. In any event, I did agree to go, and my complaint is not about the presentation itself. In fact I thought we were treated fairly. The people involved with doing the actual pitch/tour were nice. The problem is that the incentive offered in exchange for attending the presentation was very misleading to the point of being a scam in my opinion. It was supposed to be a 3-5 day "go anywhere" stay but in fact it is so restricted and the website is so bad that it's totally unusable. You pick a city from a relatively short list and a date and then you have to trust a shady agency with loads of BBB reports to book you a hotel, which is mostly going to be a one-star place like a Travelodge or a Days Inn. The whole thing is managed through a site without secure email or proper security, which I assume is intentional as it makes it so annoying that it vastly reduces the likelihood they have to actually pay out. Ironically, part of the pitch for the "vacation ownership" shows a dramatization of a family deeply frustrated by staying in a crappy economy hotel. Yet as the incentive for attending that pitch, they give you... a stay in a crappy economy hotel. Worse yet, it's one you can't even pick. Who on earth wants to pick a big city like Los Angeles and trust some sketchy agency to book them to a random Travelodge or Days Inn anywhere in that area? You can drive 4 hours and start and end in "Los Angeles." I just paid for an ocean view suite - what are the odds I want to stay in a randomly selected one-star hotel? Just for kicks I put in a city near me and some dates, and the shady website then demands more money as a "deposit" before it even tells me where I would stay. They have no email support either, so you are further disincentivized from solving any problems by having to waste further time on the phone. Basically they stole my family time on vacation for phantom compensation. And I came across so many people throughout the process that they are obviously coached to not provide any of these details. Specifically the people who give wristbands at the front desk and the people who greet you in the sales room before the pitch. They refer to the "go anywhere" thing which is branding for the "incentive" but is really dishonest when you take into account the actual terms. Essentially each person involved will treat you nicely while being very careful to NOT tell you the whole truth about what you are receiving. This reflects poorly on the entire property and company. Again, my issue is not with any individual person's behavior - it's that they have been deliberately trained to mislead people that the incentive is a "gift" when really it is totally worthless to anyone who is already staying at a nice hotel. This is of course the entire point - I am confident that either there is some shady "wholly owned subsidiary" business going on between Wyndham and the sales/incentive company or the compensation is somehow tied to how much of the "incentive" value is actually used. I bet most people are like me and just decide to cut their losses. One might say that I should not leave this review for the property and rather for the "incentive" or booking company (true-incentive or GoCRV), and that's a fair point, except that nobody is going to go to the review site for those things because they are shady businesses Wyndham doesn't want associated with their brand. This property chose to get in bed with these garbage companies and their reputation should suffer for it.

We stayed for 3 days 2 nights over Thanksgiving, this was our 5th stay here this year. We love this location, great ocean views, secure (free) underground parking, full kitchen, everything in walking distance, what more could you need? We arived super early, Valerie was able to check us in, thank you Valerie. Turned out to be amazing beach weather even at the end of November!!!!!! There was a fun "Turkey Trot' event on Thanksgiving day. The CD/DVD player was not working, we informed the front desk, and when we returned from the beach they had changed it. We like to play music CD's and watch movies, so it is important to us. The dish washer was also not working, but we waited untill we checked out on Friday to report this as it looked like a big job to us (needed to be replaced we thought) Only a couple of minor set backs, but this was not the norm. We had a great 3 days at the beach, and can't wait till our next stay, later this month. We are booked for 4 stays in 2022 You can't beat this place, in our opinion. Enjoy!!!!

Based on the reviews, I was excited to stay at this resort to visit my son and his wife who reside in San Diego. We had not seen each other for a few years and I decided to book a 2 bedroom ocean view suite for us all to be together at this resort. To my dismay we were assigned a suite on the second floor so our ocean view included looking at palm trees and sitting on the balcony listening to people walking on the sidewalk. I was informed that all of the upper floor rooms were fully booked. Also, in the corner of the living room was a deflated balloon that was clearly from a previous occupant. That made us wonder how clean is this suite? We made the best of it because we enjoyed one another's company but the next time we visit the West coast, we will stay elsewhere.

My wife and I enjoyed a pleasant visit. Unlike what some visitors have experienced, our room was clean and well maintained, and everything was in working order. Check-in and check-out were quick and easy, although I continue to object to the ploy of requiring a visit to the "concierge" (read "sales staff) to get a parking pass. Fortunately, this one took "no" for an answer after only a few attempts to get us to sit through another "owner update," which is always a sales presentation. Sound-proofing in our room was relatively good -- which matters since some miscreants frequently make loud vehicle noises during the night. As others have noted, parking spaces are limited and small, so we avoided driving while on our visit so as to avoid losing a parking space. Fortunately, there any many shops and restaurants in the area, so we had adequate entertainment, and if we looked at the right angle from our balcony, we could see the ocean. This is not the fanciest resort we have visited, but it was plenty comfortable for our visit.

We booked seven rooms for out-of-state family for a funeral. The third party vendor to whom we were directed by the front desk for making reservations is sketchy and deceptive to be polite, so we paid for more rooms than we ultimatley needed. We tried to make changes to the reservations a week ahead of time and could not make changes to the reservations despite their assurances at the time of booking. OF the seven rooms, the Wyndham only had us reserved for five and told us we would have to deal with the third party vendor with whom I had already had several fruitless conversations. They already had my money and were not giving it back.So we spent a couple thousand on rooms not occupied by us A late night check in sales pitch and being shuffled between two desks was not appreciated. We stayed for four days but could not ket cleaning service due thier COVID policy of only cleaning on checkout. We piled our towels and trash outside of our door in hopes of service. The floors had much sand from our beach trips. The passing the buck between the Wyndham staff, the sales pitch staff and the owners of the individual units was unneeded. Some one needs to be in charge and able to make decisions to keep the guests happy. I was not happy nor several others I saw in the lobby. Regardless of who is supposed to do what, it has a big WYNDHAM sign so I expected the Wyndham service i have had at other Wyndhams Finally, the odors on the upper floors hint of sewer vents/leaks. The solution of Febrezee and orange smelling stuff down the drain was temporary at best. On the upside, the location is great and is what attracted me to the place.

First off let me say we are not timeshare owners at the Wyndham Oceanside. However we have been coming here for years for the supergirl pro surf event. This year was a little different because the event is being held in September vs July. The reason that's important Is because we usually know well in advance when the event is going to be and we typically rent a two bedroom condo for our family. Unfortunately due to Covid it changed scheduling of the event. So we were not able to schedule sooner, and all that was available was two standard rooms with two (2) queen beds. However I do need to let everyone beware that their room information is deceiving. We booked a standard room thinking we were getting two queen beds. What is deceitful is that none of their standard rooms have two queen beds! What they have is one queen and a pullout sofa.! This must be news to the Wyndham because none of the room descriptions for their rooms actually list the "bed type"Why is this important? Because Some people may have a bad back and sleeping on a sofa bed is just not comfortable! Further one of the two rooms was a deluxe so it had a little more space and a balcony. The second one I swear to God when you open up the sofa bed it is almost touching the queen bed on the other side of the room! That was absolutely ridiculous there would be no room for people to actually be comfortable in the room they're just right on top of one another. Now I know why they don't show bedroom photos or layouts of all the rooms on their website. I guess they figure most people will just suck it up and take it or maybe they don't really need the sofa bed. But to me misleading someone into thinking they're getting something they're not is absolutely deceitful. Further when we went to the second room OMG it absolutely stunk like cigarette smoke. Room 703B We were going to originally have to put our kids in the second room because there was so little space but I wouldn't even sleep in there nor would I let my kids sleep in there. They would just wind up sick with sore throat's and allergies from the cigarette smoke. Whats worse is they just try to cover it up with perfumed spray! We went down and complained about the smoky room and fortunately that there was one room to move us to. We appreciated that but it comes with added inconvenience because we're going to have to move again because the same room isn't available for the following night. I have written many reviews before for the Wyndham here in Oceanside and typically had a really good experience. But this first night has just been horrible. The Wyndham has gone downhill and obviously they don't know how to actually clean a room so it doesn't smell like smoke.
