The location is exceptional but... The room was very standard, the cleanliness was not great. The bottoms of our feet turned black when we walked around in the room. Wear shoes or slippers. We lost our hot water for about 12 hours and had to take cold showers. If you want a room with amazing decor don't go here. The view outside is great but the ambiance in the room was not inspiring - very average. The front desk and concierge were pleasant but don't do their sales pitches as Wyndham seems to have lost their customer focus in sales - very pushy and unpleasant. Walk the pier!! It is awesome and easy access from the resort. There are also lots of restaurants and shops in easy walking distance so explore and take in the local vibe.
My family and I have stayed at a few different resorts in the area. Club Wyndham is our absolute favorite! The amazing views, amenities, and customer service are top tier!! Eateries, a theater, and shops are all within walking distance.
Excursions to southern California are always welcome because, well, it’s southern California and that means endless sunshine and fair temperatures. Staying at a hotel in one of the big cities is fine if you want to be close to the big attractions. But a stay in one of the smaller coastal cities is better if you want some quiet time and an excellent choice is Club Wyndham Oceanside. Driving up to this resort for the first time, we were unsure about parking and thought perhaps we were supposed to use the large lot across the street. But then we discovered that the actual parking is underneath the building, on two levels. The entrance to the underground parking garage is right there, next to the main entrance and with two levels, you are all but guaranteed to find a place to park. Check in at this resort is fast and efficient. They give you wristbands, which can then be used as a key for your room and other things. This is great if you have teenagers because they are far less likely to lose them. They will offer you a timeshare presentation/owner update and I am glad I accepted because, as an owner, I found out many things about the Wyndham family of timeshare resorts that I was not previously aware of. With the units, they are clean, fresh- smelling, and definitely like a home away from home. My two- bedroom unit was everything I could have asked for. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen has all the essentials, and each of the two bedrooms has its own television. The master also had a large, whirlpool style bathtub, which is another plus. And the views of the ocean and mountains were just what I needed for my peace of mind. Outside of the rooms, you will find an exercise room, pool, and a few other amenities. There are two restaurants that are part of the building and with the great location in Oceanside, you can easily walk through the city and visit the many fine restaurants, breweries, etc. California is my favorite U.S. state for travel and southern California in particular is one of my favorite places for sun and fun. Club Wyndham Oceanside has everything I want in a resort, and it makes an excellent choice when you want to stay at a resort that’s a little quieter, enjoy the beauty of the sunsets, and otherwise kick back and leave your troubles behind. My teenager and I rate it highly and recommend you add a stay here to your vacation plans. …
Beautiful shore side resort with fantastic sunsets. Very friendly staff, well maintained facility, walking distance to numerous excellent restaurants. Short driving distances to amazing small seaside towns, Seaworld, san Diego Zoo and The Wold Animal Park. Perfect central location with fantastic weather.
Great Wyndham property. Definitely will be back! We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, deluxe oceanview room. Recommend pool facing in the North tower - best overall sunshine. The room was perfect for our family of 4. Underground parking is super convenient. The pool was never busy and the sun shined everyday. Walmart grocery was an easy 5 minute drive. Access to I-5 is also only 5 minutes. San Diego is kids free October. We visited both zoos, legoland, and USS Midway museum - all included in the October promo - many more options too. Really loved this place. Only negatives (minor) are no grills and no way to access the pool from beach without going through lobby.
The furniture was so comfortable I immediately wanted to nap on the couch. 4th floor corner room was quiet, nice bathtub (not in all rooms). Pool was large, had a hot tub, and a great view of the ocean. Parking was covered. Such a friendly staff. Oceanside is a unique beach town, well worth exploring, and fairly close to the San Diego Wild Animal Park.
The accommodations were perfect, from beginning to end. Lovely resort at a prime location, literally steps from the beach. I had booked the hotel for my SO's birthday, and we were moving from another resort to this one, to finish out our five days in Oceanside. Originally, we had arranged to leave our bags at the front desk as we did a day excursion and awaited the availability of our room, but the resort had our room ready for us early. I felt that the resort took the extra effort, greatly appreciated, to ensure that our room was welcoming and immaculate, in an apparent effort to make our special stay with them memorable. We try to always stay in Wyndham resorts, so are well aware of the quality associated with them, however, Club Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort went above and beyond and made sure that we had a beautiful room, overlooking the water, and had even left a bottle of wine in the room to help us celebrate the occasion. Despite our plans to go elsewhere for the day, the resort had sufficient amenities and restaurants conveniently located that we seldom had to leave the premises. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The only thing less than ideal, was having to deal with the timeshare 'concierge' prior to getting into our room. However, that was a minor inconvenience, and we were able to quickly return to our celebration week. Will definitely return and cannot say enough nice things about Club Wyndham Oceanside Pier!…
Stayed. For 1 week and it was Excellent on the sea front with pool and beach views amenities very good and 24/7 reception underground car park staff very good. Lovely to walk on sea front passing the house from the original top gun movie
The property is quite nice though remember it is a timeshare. When checking in, guests collect their room key at the timeshare enrollment counter in order to give the time share hoopla team contact with you to enroll you in a presentation. The offer is a free trip if you attend a 90 minute presentation. We took the bait and also actually signed up for a timeshare too. Eventually we cancelled since we learned afterward that we did not have enough points to be able to book a week at this property even though they assured us we bought enough points. However, I digress. As for the free trip just to attend, in actuality, the rules are so restrictive that after three phone calls with reservations to book to exciting destinations around the world, we couldn't actually find a property for any date selections. If you wanted to widen the search to other dates, you would have to call back for a separate attempt. And you could only enquire about two destinations per call. Round three they didn't call back on the automated call back feature. It seems the property choices are in 2nd or 3rd tier vacation spots at below top tier properties so alas we are left with no free trip even though we had earned it by attending. We had to earn the trip all over trying to jump through hoops of all the booking restrictions and left empty handed. Don't fall for their gimmicks.…
We stayed in a 2 bd 2th suite, with a living room, full kitchen and balcony, it was very spacious for my husband & I and 3 children. The master bdrm has a king size bed & a bathroom, which had a 3 person jetted spa bathtub, a sink and a stand up shower. The 2nd bdrm had a queen size bed. The living area had a small 4 person dining table a 3 person sitting area at the counter a couch and a sleeper sofa. The fully stock kitchen has all the pots & pans, plates, silverware, cups, blender, toaster, coffee maker, basically everything you need to make your own food, you just have to bring the food to cook with. There is also a washer and dryer in the 2nd bath. We also found out that the activity center on the 2nd floor, rents out beach chairs and beach umbrellas! That allowed us to stay at the beach the full day! We love this place and will be back!…
