Loved this place! They were extremely sweet and accommodating. I had to cancel my trip on the day of two weeks prior and they gave me a full refund. Glad I was able to make it. Breakfast was superb, esp with COVID 19 restrictions. I checked in after wine hour but I was still offered a glass. The room and Inn were very clean and cozy. I'll be back some day soon for another little get away.
We had such a great time even with the pandemic going on. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The hot tub was a bonus! We came in to the room with chilled wine and truffles. Everything was romantic and beautiful! They even helped me with my lost visa card!
The place is lovely, room fantastic, innkeepers super friendly and conscientious of safety (COVID), private, beautiful gardens and incredible breakfast - highly recommend! Made friends with the resident hummingbird perched and singing each morning outside my window. Favorite breakfast - waffles with chai cream topped with fresh sliced nectarines and joined beautifully with the perfect eggs benedict - heavenly! Thanks so much to Tina and her wonderful husband for great conversation and an exquisite place!
A bit remiss in writing this review as our stay was in December 2019. However, didn't want to slight this little slice of heaven, as the Inn at Occidental is such a well appointed and quaint bed and breakfast in a beautiful little town. The breakfast was absolutely superb, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Chef Gerald's lemon marmalade was delightful, most especially with his homemade scones. The reception hostess was very helpful and went above and beyond to assist in finding wineries of suitable interest. Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!
My husband and I have been coming here since 2016. We absolutely love staying here. Marilyn is great and so helpful with choosing wineries and restaurants. We have stayed in the Safari Room, Kitchen Cupboard Room, and the Folk Art Room. We have enjoyed everyone of them. The rooms are always so cozy and inviting. Each one is decorated according to the theme. They have a CD player if you want to grab some CD’s to play. There are phone chargers with USB ports and plug-ins for you and your guest. Each room has a mini fridge and there is free WiFi and parking. Other great amenities include a wine hour from 5-6 in the main area. It’s a way to socialize with other guests or sit by the fireplace and listen to some music. There’s a library for some reading or games. The bath products are wonderful too. The breakfast is good with a lighter food option if that’s your choice. There is a plethora of wineries to choose from in the area as the icing on the cake of why you should choose to stay here. I highly recommend The Inn at Occidental.…
