I had a superior King and though it a little musty, just opened the window and all was well. Large TV and a decent breakfast was available.
Once at the hotel, it was a very easy check-in experience. Great staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. The room I had, a garden king, was large and easy to set up my computer at the provided desk. Lots of electrical outlets for my electronics at the desk area. Not quite enough at the bedside, but I made do.
The room was clean, as was the bathroom. Not a fan of the tile in the bathroom since it's very slippery when wet. I wish there was a bathmat for inside the tub/shower. Again very slick when wet so I had to use one of the hand towels for safety.
Not the best part of town, but the hotel property is fenced and to enter you must go through a gate with (sometimes) a human gate guard, rather than just the arm. In my opinion you'd need to drive to a restaurant. Not any that I'd want to head to that are within walking distance. Unknown if the shuttle would drive you somewhere then return to pick you up. I did see lots of UBER and Lyft cars coming in and out.
Not perfect, but for a couple of days stay that's close to the airport, it was good.
The 1970’s decor and carpeting look like they have not been updated since Tom Hanks worked the door.
The room’s carpets were stained with black sticky and smelly tar like substance. The hotel bathroom lacked a fan.
The breakfast is ridiculously expensive and the $12 per person credit won’t even get you an omelette ($18) or plain pancakes ($12). Coffee and (non fresh) juice are all separately billed.
This is a dive which is an embarrassment to the Hilton brand.
As our complimentary upgrade, we got a room in the “main building” instead of a suite.
This room was big but had a funky smell, the type hotel rooms had in the 70’s before hotels went non-smoking.
The carpet had large sticky smelly black stains.
The breakfast “benefit” was a $12 credit per person for the room. Instead of a free breakfast, we ended up having to pay a small fortune for breakfast (a simple omelette costs $18!). These Covid measures are an excuse to bilk more money out of the customer.
We were in room 1108, which had a king bed, TV, A/C, small fridge, fairly large electronic safe, 2 cup coffee maker, 2 chairs, and an ironing board and iron.
It had a tub and shower in the bathroom.
The room had big drink glasses, and free water bottles. And it was quiet, even being close to the airport.
The convenience of the free shuttle to/from the airport was the deal clincher for us.
We would stay there again.
