Had a great one night stay at the Hilton Oakland Airport. You’ll probably note the property was built in 1970 with just a few of those finishes remaining which means the bathroom is the size of a postage stamp. But with that said, it has been very well maintained and is clean. You also will not find a closer property to OAK or JSX.

I had a superior King and though it a little musty, just opened the window and all was well. Large TV and a decent breakfast was available.

Courteous staff, clean rooms, easy access and transport to Oakland Airport. Should let your LYFT driver know they won’t be charged if they are not on the property longer than 30 minutes to pick you up. Taking a parking ticket to get onto the property makes them nervous they have to pay.

Making arrangements for business colleagues to stay prior to a meeting to be held in Alameda, I needed a hotel that was close to the Oakland Airport. I didn't fly in, but my colleagues who did were impressed with how quickly the hotel shuttle picked them up.

Once at the hotel, it was a very easy check-in experience. Great staff. Excellent breakfast buffet. The room I had, a garden king, was large and easy to set up my computer at the provided desk. Lots of electrical outlets for my electronics at the desk area. Not quite enough at the bedside, but I made do.

The room was clean, as was the bathroom. Not a fan of the tile in the bathroom since it's very slippery when wet. I wish there was a bathmat for inside the tub/shower. Again very slick when wet so I had to use one of the hand towels for safety.

Not the best part of town, but the hotel property is fenced and to enter you must go through a gate with (sometimes) a human gate guard, rather than just the arm. In my opinion you'd need to drive to a restaurant. Not any that I'd want to head to that are within walking distance. Unknown if the shuttle would drive you somewhere then return to pick you up. I did see lots of UBER and Lyft cars coming in and out.

Not perfect, but for a couple of days stay that's close to the airport, it was good.

This is an old hotel near the airport. The hotel’s claim to fame is Tom Hanks working there 50 years ago as a bellboy.

The 1970’s decor and carpeting look like they have not been updated since Tom Hanks worked the door.

The room’s carpets were stained with black sticky and smelly tar like substance. The hotel bathroom lacked a fan.

The breakfast is ridiculously expensive and the $12 per person credit won’t even get you an omelette ($18) or plain pancakes ($12). Coffee and (non fresh) juice are all separately billed.

This is a dive which is an embarrassment to the Hilton brand.

As a Hilton Diamond member , I was dismayed by my stay at this run-down hotel.

As our complimentary upgrade, we got a room in the “main building” instead of a suite.

This room was big but had a funky smell, the type hotel rooms had in the 70’s before hotels went non-smoking.

The carpet had large sticky smelly black stains.

The breakfast “benefit” was a $12 credit per person for the room. Instead of a free breakfast, we ended up having to pay a small fortune for breakfast (a simple omelette costs $18!). These Covid measures are an excuse to bilk more money out of the customer.

So I work for Hilton, And I am a gold member. At Hilton hotels tiers are everything.... or so I was taught and I thought. Not at this hotel though, I called and asked for an early check in the receptionist said she’d have something around 10. I got there around 10:30, I checked in and everything but when I got to the room the key didn’t work, after I went back to the desk she proceeded To tell me that either the battery to the door with dead or to push the handle up and push the door at the same time, when I finally got the door open and the room was dirty and used so I walked back to the desk ( its a rather large hotel) and told her this, She told me that was the only clean room she had for that room type and said she could give me a double bed or a refund, Meanwhile her manager was there and they both were highly rude and aggressive, I’m currently waiting for my refund, this experience was a nightmare. Don’t stay here, staff is unprofessional, housekeeping obviously needs help. It’s a sad sorry excuse for a Hilton brand hotel

I’m a heavy traveler. I stay in the Bay Area virtually every week. This property is more interested in clawing a extra dollars out of your pocket than anything else. They treated me rudely over $2.50. There are so many better options in there area that will value you as a customer.

This is our new favorite park-sleep and fly! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the pricing is reasonable. I feel safe leaving my car at this hotel for a few days or even a week. The bus makes trips to the airport every 20 minutes and is on time.

My husband and I always stay at the Oakland Hilton at the airport when we have an early morning flight the next day. Their shuttle service is so convenient, running every 20 minutes from 4 am from the hotel to the airport. Our drivers have always been friendly and very service oriented! The staff at the reception is also very hospitable. Sharmane was very helpful! The Hilton has a great work out gym, open 24 hours. The hotel also provides room service. The rooms have been comfortable with free WiFi, refrigerator and coffee maker. We also like that the Amelia Earhart Restaurant is right on sight. For convenience and comfort, the Hilton has been great for us.

We broke up a trip on Southwest Airlines from the east coast to Hawaii, by staying at the Hilton Oakland Airport hotel overnight.

We were in room 1108, which had a king bed, TV, A/C, small fridge, fairly large electronic safe, 2 cup coffee maker, 2 chairs, and an ironing board and iron.

It had a tub and shower in the bathroom.

The room had big drink glasses, and free water bottles. And it was quiet, even being close to the airport.

The convenience of the free shuttle to/from the airport was the deal clincher for us.

We would stay there again.
