The hotel itself was pretty good, I don’t have a lot of complaints in general. It’s a good location with lots of food options around. There definitely were some interesting people roaming around the streets but that’s not the hotels fault. Price is a little steep but that’s OK because it keeps those low-end people out. I would definitely stay again
The young lady at the front desk is the friendliest most efficient person I have ever encountered at a hotel. She helped make everything easy as pie. I had a great stay here and recommend it to everyone visiting Oakland for any reason.
The room was clean and comfortable; good for a short 1-2 night stay in order to be near the airport. The reason I am writing this review is to inform others considering staying here that walking around this area, and to the Coliseum BART station, is a bad idea. Plan on using Lyft or Uber. Following directions from the person working at the front desk, I attempted to walk from the hotel to the Coliseum, and ended up going through a homeless camp to a dead end road that ended under a bridge with more homeless people. I felt extremely unsafe walking around here. So, this is a fine place to stay, but I would strongly advise against walking around the area. Rideshare apps are much better and not too expensive to get to and from the Coliseum.
Decent room and hotel with small gym Denny’s across the street smelled of pee so couldn’t eat there Jack in the box, McDonalds are close by within walking distance friendly front desk staff and limited free breakfast but did the job
One of the poorest experiences I have had in my travels. Desk clerks very unfriendly or helpful, Room was fairly clean but beds uncomfortable. Very over priced for what you get . Would definitely NOT stay there again.
