clean and tidy. affordable. hotels in SFO was too costly so we chose Oakland. It is only 15 minutes drive from SFO downtown. We had to pay the bay bridge toll every time when we cross but that is still cheaper than staying at anywhere near SFDT
This worked out at about half the cost of a small hotel room in SF. Stayed for 6 nights. A good choice. Room was modern, clean, comfortable and well serviced. Reception friendly and helpful. Free WiFi. Location was good for motorists - next to major road intersection and just off the freeway. Also very good if you're relying on pubic transport. BART MacArthur is 5 minutes walk - could be downtown SF within 20 minutes of walking out of my room - which is better than staying in a budget hotel in SF where road traffic at peak times really holds you up. Location seemed safe enough to me. Overall I was very satisfied with the place and would definitely stay again.
The room was clean, bedding and towels clean. Car spaces were fine a d felt secure in the hotel and area. Only 20 mins into SF, three stops on the BART. The microwave, fridge bathroom and everything else was super clean too. The hotel had lots of guest, lots of families, and all were happy and friendly. Most people walked to tye BART just like us..the area was fine.
I know that being in Oakland they probably have to take extra caution as far as keeping guests safe but the way they have this set up you literally feel like you’re in a cage and that’s not the greatest feeling. In spite of being in a cage it was very clean and I believe they had just bought new comfy bedding.
I would like to give this place a few less stars but I really knew kind of what I was getting into by the price alone. I needed a place close to a job I was doing on Treasure Island. I stayed only one night. The office is locked up like a bank, complete with a teller window on the outside and another inside (accessed by pushing a buzzer to have the door unlocked). The room was okay for the price but it seemed like my room was grand central for water pipe noise. The bed was like granite and I like soft beds. I got to sleep around midnight but was awakened throughout the night by noise from the very busy unit above and from the water pipes. I gave up at 5 and just got up. Even with such a short time in bed I still got several bites on my legs, feet and one hand. The Carl's Jr. is next door. First one I have been to with a security guard.…
