We have been there on the 13th March till 16th March with a group of 6(friends and family). The staffs are really attentive and kind. We bought fresh fish at the market and the hotel fried them for us without any fee.

The common area next to the pool is awesome to chill out.

Room service also was excellent.

Highly Recommended.

Stayed for 3 nights. Well situated, walking distance to the market and bus terminal. Very polite and helpful staff. We wanted to taste the typical "riz maĂŻs/haricots rouges" and the staff happily included that in their dinner menu. Excellent room service, rooms even though a bit old are clean. Overall very satisfied with the service, big thanks to all the staff. Highly recommended.

Escale vacances is found in the heart of Port Mathurin. Have had a lovely experience. From all the staff we encountered to the beautiful design of the guest house and the positive vibes throughout the reception, lobby, restaurant and Bar, we just couldn’t fault anything. A lovely place to stay. Special thanks to Florina. She is a hard working and kind lady working on consecutive days. She gives her best at work. Keep up with the good work. The management need to recognise her for the amazing job she does and am absolutely sure that she will continue to do so….Thank you to the entire team of Escale Vacances. They have been responsive to each and every request made. Have had a memorable experience.

Looking through my many holiday snaps reminded me of when i said to myself i'll write about this one and never got round to it. So better late than never. After the noisy bustle of Mauritius, Rodrigues is exactly the opposite. The hotel we stayed was in a lovely quiet location with trees and flowers all around. As the sun was setting, we saw fruit bats flying above the trees. Our rooms were all air-conditioned, en-suite, comfortable and clean. And after a days exploring it was nice to relax by the pool before dinner. We had chinese and creole food and there's a local fish dish which i can't remember the name of which was excellent. We went a couple of excursions organised by the hotel. One to Coconut Island and one to explore around the island.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple of days. Location is just perfect and easy to go around.

The rooms though a bit tacky old is clean and functional. The reception staff is courteous ( thanks Vanessa for make our stay so easy).

The areas of improvement for an old hotel maybe many but what needs fixing is the kitchen and the meal service. Some of the restaurant staff are really helpful but they are let down by the pour quality of the kitchen staff. Breakfast took ages to be served. Dinner was approximate.

Pool not cleaned regularly

Stayed at the Hotel for 4 days. The location is absolutely perfect if you way to explore the island rather than being on the beach all day. With the renovation completed the place is great.

Room were neat and functional - we were not expecting it to be a 5star but they beat our expectations in terms of personalised service.

We really felt welcomed by everyone of the staff . Denise and the manager (Mrs Virasamy..) were attentive. They were eager to make suggestions for good places to eat, visit etcs.

Frankly a night show of Rodrigues traditionally sega, dance and music for a small size town hotel was not expected... it was such a great night of fun and laughter.

As mentioned it is a small hotel - do expect to take part in its daily life rather than wait for things to happen. We were a big group so we gave our breakfast preferences the night before and timing ( to fit our morning plans) and things when like clockwork.

Denise thank you again for playing such a great host. Hats off and Merci again. We shall be back again and again.

Great, clean and quiet accommodation close to the city centre of Port Mathurin. In an about 10 Minutes walk you are in the city centre, the bus terminal to reach the rest of the island, the harbour to hopefully see some awesome sunsets and the market (which is on Saturdays) to buy local goods like cake, curries, chutneys and handmade products for kitchen and wearing.
Food was good, they did some extra dishes for vegetarians at dinner. The pool was clean and so far I haven't had such a big water pressure like here in the shower in whole Mauritius.
In the cupboard you find a little fridge to store the drinks you can buy down the road or in the city. AC and TV (7 stations seem to be over Canal+) on the room. The prices at the bar are ok and the staff were all friendly, helpful and overall great people.
The evening entertainment on Saturday with local folk music and dance was great, the live singer on Sunday evening was for my taste too loud.

Escale Vacances is a family run Hotel with friendly and helpful staff.

The rooms are clean and airy with air conditioning which is important during the summer months.

There is a good size swimming pool which is well maintained. The food was excellent and they were also extremely accommodating for my Vegetarian diet!

The staff there speak good English and are always willing to give valuable advice on what to do and where to go in Rodrigues plus organise tours, airport transfers and care hire.

Its also a great location, just a short walk into the town of Port Mathurin and the bus station where you can easily catch a bus to get around the Island.

Rodrigues is a paradise Island and staying at Escale Vacances made the trip a wonderful experience.
