Quick 5 minute drive from downtown Oakhurst with many great food options, and just off the highway -- but far enough to not hear many cars from the giant shared porch just outside of your hotel room! We loved our stay in this beautiful property with very rustic western themes throughout the hotel. The walls were thin, and the continental breakfast was nothing special -- But for our price, we still rank this property 5/5! We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family.
The location of the hotel is great if you plan to visit Yosemite. The rooms were average but clean, the toilet in my room backed up into the shower and the shower did not drain well. Pedestal sink is very low and not suitable for taller people. I also has a larger suite on the first floor/basement and did not have any WiFi signal. There is no cell signal out there either but it comes back once you get to 41. The pillows were filled with some kind of crumbly foam and I found them very uncomfortable. The staff was absent when it was time for check out, so I just left my key at the desk and called and left a message to let them know I had left. It’s average at best but there really aren’t many options out there, just go in with humble expectations and you’ll be fine.
Very well maintained, so cozy, so beautifully different. The staff from front desk to maintenance are so welcoming. It was almost hard to leave after 3 days stay. The animal sightings from our view deck that made us hang out right there with warm drink or even for our meals. Our evening walks around the property breathing that fresh air but masked once we enter the building. Very, very much highly recommended.
My husband and I spent three days at Yosemite and were looking for a nice hotel that wouldn't break the bank. I feel that Sierra Sky Ranch is great value for the money. The hotel is nice and the rooms were perfect. I loved the fact t hat every room had porch space. The rooms were nicely decorated and modern while still maintaining "ranch" elements. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. We visited at the height of Covid and the staff made every effort to get us a dinner experience and breakfast while still following guidelines. Every single person on staff at SSR was more than accommodating and helpful. We will stay here again.
This is a perfect place for anyone who wants to feel like you are in the country, but still be close to restaurants and stores. It is perched on a little hill just north of Oakhurst, about an hour from the south entrance of Yosemite. It is spotlessly clean, the bed is totally comfortable. The staff is so very friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant on site that is open only on weekends right now. They do have a nice barbeque menu which the prepare and serve on the patio. The waitress, Deb, is fantastic! as is Chance, the chef. It is my hope that we can get back up there later in the fall or sometime soon. They are not serving breakfast right now because of all the Covid restrictions, but I understand that they usually serve muffins and other assorted things for breakfast in the fireplace room.…
