Surprised by both the place and the town. Outside the place looks like a small motel, inside it has a big wooden suite type room, including a kitchen with a sink, microwave and small frig. Plus a fireplace, wooden table with four chairs and a big shower. The town is much more developed than expected, a lot of strip malls...

Hotel rooms are hard to come by anywhere near Yosemite, and all are expensive. We stayed in this place for 3 nights and paid $150/night. It is way over-priced for most any other place in the world. The room had the essentials--good mattress, clean and new sheets and towels, hot shower, small but functioning A/C. The wi-fi worked well. And...

When we arrived to this lodge we found out that our 4 nights booking was cancelled. The owner offered us another older house for 2 days , than we moved to a "nicer" house for another 2 days. We do travel a lot and I have to say Mountain Trail Lodge is the dirtiest place I ve ever stayed in...

We stayed in room 7 and had bed bugs visible before we even went to bed! We were exhausted so we stayed, but got little sleep knowing they were in there with us. We ended up collecting them in a zippy bag and showing them to the manager in the morning. We got a full refund, but I'm not convinced...

This motel is conveniently located on Hwy 41 about one hour south of Yosemite Valley. It is an older facility, basic but far from luxurious or fancy. The rooms are rustic and comfortable and ours had a kitchenette, which was only basically stocked. Beds were comfortable but blankets were not double sheeted. The pool was very clean. There is a...

It was only a one hour drive to Tunnel View in Yosemite from this motel. Completely worth the drive rather than paying the outrageous prices to stay in a hotel inside the park. The room was super clean. This place was great for the price. I have stayed in worse places for more money.

Room was fine, spacious and warm and not bad location from Yosemite. I suspect people writing some of these reviews (especially the silly one about code violations??) are a bit delusional about the kind of money you need to spend and the type of areas you need to stay in to get particular services. For cheap accommodation near the NP...

It was dark when we checked in. We were given a room in the back. We had to pass by an open hole in the ground that was haphazardly covered with what appeared to be dry-rotted plywood--there were no caution signs or anything else to segregate the area. Upon opening the door to the room, we could turn on the...
