1. There is a RV friendly way to enter the RV park, instead of coming down a steep hill. At Route 426, take a right and then a left at the first light. 2. Pictures of the park on their website are highly deceiving. There is no grass in the RV section we stayed. Just sand and dirt. The spots... More

We booked this because it is relatively close to Yosemite. The RV park is basically a road in a trailer park next to a puddle of a stream. Sites are very close to each other and there is no turnaround at the end of the road, so it took a fair amount of maneuvering to get our 29 foot trailer... More

We had a basic tent site and couldn't tell much of a difference between it and the other tent option. All the tent sites are small and do not have any kind of distinguished border to separate one site from the next. There are markers to only mark each site number, but nothing to separate each site. Stepping into the... More

Their website massively over rates the facility. Shabby. Two showers for the entire facility - clean but very old. And the staff are off the scale rude. Drive 15 minutes further to the KOA site just pass Coarsegold which is everything this one is isn't.

Let's start with the positives: Good location, within walking distance of "downtown" Oakhurst, convenient to access from 41. Dog enjoyed playing in what little water was flowing in the river (July). Kids seemed to be enjoying a swimming hole further upstream. VERY nice trail/path on the other side of river (access across the bridge) for walking the dog (wished I... More

Apparently there Is a problem with people who don't live or stay at this park frequenting/vandalizing the property. We are a family of 4, the bathrooms require a key as do the showers - we were given 1 key, not convenient with 2 boys and 2 girls, the laundry closes at 10, again not convenient. I'm all for a lock... More

Camping along the river is nice, for parking lot camping, but that's about it. The restroom facilities are gross, smelly and not well maintained. The entire place is poorly maintained. They have these huge night lights which kept our family up and the folks running it are rather indifferent and gone a lot. If you need an overnight, it's ok,... More

Lots of nice sites right on the river. We got really lucky and got one at the very end, where we had the river wrap around our site, we saw a litle waterfall from our front window of our class A and winding river in many of the other windows. Plenty of room, not crowded next to other campers. Easy... More

The staff was very helpful and gracious in our two stays in this beautifully mown campground. First was tent camping. The second was in one the lovely yurts. Great shower facility and clean bathrooms. The river was melodic for sleeping. Yurt was very spacious with mini fridge, microwave, coffee in the office, books to buy/loan. We had two great visits... Last year I made a prepaid reservation here, then read the bad reviews and panicked. I called to request a refund (even though it said no refunds). They quickly credited my CC for the charges. We stayed at the KOA, and it was nice, but very inconvenient because we wanted to explore the town. This time I decided to try... More
