The sites are not great, no picnic tables and fairly close together. However, this does not matter as you will be much too busy taking part in all the other activities - water aerobics, yoga, line dancing, pickle ball, bocce, water polo, hiking, golf, social activites etc. etc. etc. After all that you can swim in one of the two heated pools or laze in one of the four hot tubs (3 are mineral). There are also three huge claw-footed bath tubs where you can laze in mineral water. There is a restaurant and store too. Everyone is friendly. This is our second trip and we would definitely go back. Only downside is that wifi is available only beside the office and it is not very robust.
Love this place. Bought a home here because of past wonderful stays and pristine facilities. Staff very helpful, cooperative and easy to communicate with. Clean facility and lots to do. Easy access to desert riding. Great exercise room.
We rented a 2 bedroom 2 bath Villa for 1 month. A week before our vacation, we were told plumbing problems had happened and they had to cancel. But the Villa was occupied. FOY tried to put us in a very well used 1 bedroom 1 bathroom trailer as a substitute.
Fountain of Youth is a hidden gem in the desert. This RV Resort offers sparkling heated pools and spas. Try relaxing in The Lobster Pot, a natural hot mineral water spa. During the winter season (Nov - March), FOY has everything RV-ers want: store, cafe, propane refills, laundry room, mail room and more. There are 2 dog parks and many hiking trails. Off-roaders will enjoy wandering across the desert. Bird watchers will appreciate the Sonny Bono Wildlife Refuge, a short trip south. The squeaky-clean restrooms & showers are by far the nicest you will find in any RV park or campground. Yes, FOY is a bit out of the way, but it's absolutely worth the trip.
Beyond unacceptable stay here. I am so sad in two years it’s gone so far downhill. I’ve sent no less than 10 people here with multiple people staying for weeks if not months and brought two friends that haven’t been before here for their first trip. Firstly if you are looking for hot mineral springs these are not them. The pools are so packed with chemicals and chlorine after just a few minutes without putting my head in my eyes were burning. For them to market these pools as mineral springs should be illegal. Additionally they were not forthcoming about what amenities were available for use. When I called and asked I was given a very generalized answer which specifically was used to have us pay full price for something I could have gotten at any run of the mill RV “resort”. Lastly the staff and management desperately need a lesson in customer safety and comfort. The staff placed a large fifth wheel directly next to our three spots we rented and the man has three dogs none which he leashes and one of the dogs being a very large and aggressive dog that charged barking and snapping at my friend. After four encounters with this man and his dogs staff Anna (beyond rude and unhelpful) and management Sylvia refused to do ANYTHING about said guest. Our spots were covered in his dogs feces which he never picked up and continued to allow his dogs to come into our camp peeing and pooping all over. Sylvia’s suggestions is that we move our three rigs and our camps because they refused to enforce their parks own rules. I can guarantee that I will not be coming to FOY ever again and will actively discourage friends and anyone I meet to not come here as well.…
If youre under 70, dont waste your time. Worst stay we have ever had at an RV park.and reminds us why we dont come to ppaces like this. First the employees straight up lied on the phone about prices and ammenities. Then after driving a cpl hours to get here we are told completely different info in person. On top of that they told different ppl in our same group different prices and deals. Seems shady and i bet an enployee is pocketing the extra. But Because we drove a group of about 10 vehicles. Who was here to meet up with an even larger group of vehicles, we decided to stay anyways. Only to find out after paying that over half of the parks ammenities are either closed or strictly for long term residents, or worse just dont exist their site says.. The only thing open to us was a dirty brown looking mini pool that they would only let 5 ppl in at a time. Nothing spring fed was available to us despite over charging us to enter. Maybe mention this when someone is asking about bringing 10 rigs there. I feel like we got scammed. And the ladies in the office said "oh well not my fault". I witnessed "volunteers" at both pools go on senile power trips, threatening ppl and getting upset that young ppl are here.. they literally said to us "come back when youre 70".... If this is what you want, then make your park 55+ and stop ripping off travelers.. plenty of parks do it. None will survivie past the boomer generation, but youre not going to anyways with such ageist employees and policies. I was just at an event with over 500 rigs less than 2 hours from here, and will be at an even larger one next month. You better believe i will be sharing my thoughts on this place with everyone i meet for a long time. Letting 20+rigs with over 30 ppl leave this unhappy is not a good business practice. Pretty soon all these 80 year old long term tenants will die. Better stop treating anyone younger than you like crap, or else this place wont last. I managed hotels and resorts for over a decade, id have fired my employees on the spot if i heard them talk to guests the way you allow your blue shirts to talk. Says a lot about the management here.…
This is a great place to spend the winter! Lots of fun things to do. The mineral pools and salt water pool are the best. Lots of interesting day trips and interesting things to see. Sites are larger than most.
Stayed in Dry Camp. There was so much to do, it took a week to settle in and really experience this place. It really is a resort. Lapswim in the pool. 4 hot tubs plus bath tubs, water exercises, pool tables, pickleball, hiking, tennis, labyrinthe, ping pong, shuffle board, bocce ball, horseshoes, bridge, volley ball, quilting, on-site store, twice weekly vegetables, swap meets, cards ukuleles, karaoke. in poo movies, the list goes on and on. Amazing, interesting people that either pass through or live here. ATM as well. Definitely worth a week.
We stayed at FOY, December and January. Very nice RV park, well run and very clean. Our site on Mineral dr. - right on the desert edge. Walking trails set up - which we used every day (our favourite - white trail - 2.2 miles). There is lots of activities to do. Tennis. Pickle ball. Bocce ball. Water volleyball. Plus many other things to do. 2 heated pools. 4 hot tubs (hottest one called the lobster pot). Not sure if weather was normal ? Days 18C to 21C, nights 4C to 12C (heat in motorhome, required every night). Store on site - prices reasonable. Freddie's restaurant - taco night every Monday - $10 - all you can eat. Enjoyed our stay. Biggest complaint (and several other people mentioned also) - people think nothing of WALKING 🚶 through your site (even if you are sitting there) ???. Other than that - would recommend.…
The facilities are good, the office staff needs to be trained or replaced. It is too expensive for its location. If you decide to go here make sure when you make a reservation to confirm the price. We were quoted a price on the phone but when we got there they charged us more. They don't seem too care about making people welcome they only want your money. Again, it is a long way to go shopping and there is nothing close by to do. Very isolated location. Won't be back next year, too many better places to stay for less money where they make you fell welcome. They advertise cable and wifi but don't have it.
