Dont listen to them when they tell you its ok to have a gathering. They let you pay $3000 for the presidential suite then harass you the entire time. This place is the WORST!! Treat adults in a non rowdy dinner party as if its a teenage house party. DO NOT use this place for any type of gathering because they take your money and lie, threatening guests and sending a bunch of security as if you did something wrong.

Just had a fabulous stay for 2 nights. Staff takes COVID seriously. With limited numbers at pool, empty rooms, even plastic bags over the remotes. Great food on site, pool, setting, decor, comfortable beds. We felt well taken care of .

Had such a lovely time here with my dad, felt very serviced. The hospitality, food, view, and Drybar hair salon was all anyone could’ve asked for. Especially at the A&O restaurant where our server Jose was being so kind and attentive.

This is a nice hotel in a pretty good location but is having troubles during COVID. As admitted by their staff, they don’t have the staff to make things run normally. This would be ok for a regular hotel, but for a premium hotel charging a premium that is not great. We came with two kids plus dogs and got two rooms. Check in is 4PM which is kind of late for a hotel, especially a higher end hotel- one room was ready at 3...the other they were supposed to text when ready. At 4:15 went again to front desk and the room was ready then- this was the first apology for being understaffed. The valet brought up the bags and just left them just inside the door- weird. We chose the hotel because they were supposedly dog friendly- not so much. There was a small patch of grass waaaaay in the back of the hotel for dogs to do their business, which is the most critical thing for a dog owner and the hotel staff were not even sure where it was. There were no dog beds, bowls or meals for dogs either. Valet at $37/ day was also understaffed and had a hard time with traffic and getting people in and out. Not their fault as they were friendly and did the best they could but bad set up on the roundabout and not enough help. They made an attempt to set up a gym, which was a small tent with 2 treadmills, a bike and an elliptical. At a Hilton you can just reserve the room- easier ways to not have to make a poor effort. They don’t have chairs or umbrella to bring to the beach- other hotels in the area do [Paseo in Huntington Beach does a great job with this). Food was ok at the restaurant but the view is terrific. I didn’t love the location as you really couldn’t walk anywhere. Couple of places to eat walkable, everything else is a car ride. We like Newport Beach and Huntington Beach areas a lot but will choose a different hotel for the next stay.

This is a rough one, as the property is well located, common areas well appointed, and room beautiful. The valet service is also welcoming and efficient. However, if you are coming to the property to relax, unless you are willing to spring for a waterfront view, just do not plan to get any sleep. My wife and I went to sleep at 10 o’clock, which was difficult as we could hear the bathtub in the room next-door being filled and the people in the room above us walking around on our ceiling. What was really difficult is that the inland facing hotels rooms are 80-150 feet from Pacific Coast Highway. At this point along Pacific Coast Highway, at night, the rich and famous love to race their porches, Lamborghinis and Ferraris at high speed and you hear the zoom...zoom...zoom of cars pretty much well past midnight, accelerating and downshifting. While I was finally able to get to sleep with an ear plug-in, at 11:30 we were awakened by two security guards down the hall yelling at people in another room who were partying “go to sleep! go to sleep!” If it’s that bad, why aren’t they throwing them out? Then at midnight the two women sharing the room next door arrived back, half hammered, talking at a very loud volume. The pass through doors that combine rooms aren’t sound insulated enough and the sound came right into ours, to the extent we had to call security. Then again at six in the morning, all of the traffic started up again and we were wide awake by 6:30. We asked to move rooms, but they were full, and they provided a 15% discount, which is a gesture I appreciate but still not adequate value for money by any means. The bottom line is we would not stay here again at any price unless we were water front facing.
