We had a wonderful birthday weekend stay, with excellent accommodations and great service. The staff and upper management went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable stay. While we did not partake in Housekeeping service, the room upon arrival was extremely clean and in excellent condition. Any request we made was pleasantly fulfilled, without question, by the very friendly staff. We look forward to our next visit!

The hotel and the rooms are OK, but the service is vey poor! No house keeping! It's the first time in my life I stay in an hotel where I have to make my bed!!! And it is not a cheap hotel! I was really shocked. What's the point staying in an hotel like this where there is no service. The restaurant is very disappointing as well with a very limited choice.

Recently stayed for a weeding and was told my room would be ready at 1pm to check in as I'm a Marriott member which was perfect since wedding was at 5pm. We did not get our room till after 7pm. Bathrooms at reception bathroom looked like they have not been cleaned in a couple days with paper towels all over floor and counters soaking wet. Both urinals were over floating and front desk was notified several times by different people and nothing was done. I checked the next morning and urinals were still over floating and floor around them was disgusting. After all that my family and I headed to our room that absolutely stunk of POT. My 12 year old started coughing as soon as she stepped in. Of course, no other rooms were available. You can tell this place is very poorly managed by the lack of customer service the staff has. Not only will I ABSOLUTELY NEVER stay here but I will never stay at any Renaissance Hotel based on this experience.

A great place to feel revitalized. Location is near the airport with a short drive to the peninsula and Newport Beach for surfing! The check-in process was friendly and a breeze. I found the rooms extremely comfortable and the beds were super fresh and comfortable and luxurious. The bathroom is very well lit and very clean. Shampoo and bath products are high quality. I also found the hallways quiet and peaceful. They also have a restaurant and bar that is perfect for a quick retreat with great cocktails on your way to/from the room. This is a great hotel for friends or get-away couples. Both parking and internet are additional costs, but the price is still super reasonable for a spotless, clean and luxurious stay. Check it out!

I'm a Titanium Elite at Marriott; I say this not to boast but to indicate that I spend a LOT of nights at hotels. There are many things that I am confident in, and hotel stays is just one of them (now that's boasting). Quite simply, I believe that a hotel experience is just not about the room, the view, or the waterfall shower, it is also about the way you are treated from the moment you arrive to the time you leave. My experience at the Renaissance Newport Beach Hotel continues to impress. I don't write reviews usually; however, my latest experience (checkout just yesterday) prompts me to do so. I was there for 2 nights to visit family. Amenities, on-site restaurant, market, parking and extracurriculars were are all great, including location (20 minutes away from Newport Beach). However, what impressed me the most was the service that I received. I will mention first names only, in a little bit, for privacy reasons; however, let me begin by saying, that I was casually dressed the whole weekend, but treated as if I might as well have been the Marriott Chairman. I was politely greeted by a warm McKenzie at the front desk, who had answers to all my questions, gave me my breakfast vouchers and asked if I needed any help. The next morning, I mean, really really early, I was greeted by a bright eyed, happy Jesus who gave me a complimentary item from the market, quite simply, because the original item that I wanted for my little one had just run out. Jesus wanted to make sure that I and my little one were taken care of. Well done front of the house team - making me feel like I am important and that my experience matters. Then just when I think that these experiences are random happenstance, I get breakfast at the restaurant both days, and within a matter of 10 minutes after placing my order, a full gourmet breakfast for 2 is ready to go; from the moment I place my order, Javier and Angelica are on it - bright eyed and all smiles under their protective masks - their one common objective, to make sure that I am treated as the most important person at that moment. They do not fail. I am barely awake at 6:30 am in the morning, and here these two restaurant team members are doing everything within their power to ensure that I am taken care. Please remember, I just woke up. My hair is a mess. My eyes are red because I am so tired. I am very casual; however, I might has well been Lady Gaga with the importance they gave to me. I was so impressed, that I spoke to the restaurant manager - Cristina, and complemented her not only on her team's demeanor but also with the effort that they were maintaining the hygiene of the restaurant - frequently using electro-static sprayers to clean surfaces and to make sure that all was disinfected as possible. I firmly believe that great service is driven by management, and given how I was treated, I know that Cristina is managing her team effectively and with respect. Now, I don't like to believe that I am a primadonna; however, my little daughter tells me that I can be ehem, ehem, sometimes one and that I am very demanding of the service I receive. I am highly demanding and discerning, because I am just as demanding and discerning upon myself when I am requested of something. I didn't have shaving cream or toothpaste when I arrived - I rang the front desk, and wonderfully cheerful McKenzie answered. I placed my request and said I could come down as I didn't want to inconvenience, and be perceived as a ehem ehem pain in the tush. But NO. McKenzie gently says, "Please, allow us to bring it up for you." Seriously? Wow! A hotel with a room count of over 400 rooms busy as a Rolling Stones concert on a Friday night, sends a very friendly concierge to my room with 2 small items, accompanied with a pleasant hello and a pleasant goodbye. I could go on and on; however, I will summarize. The hotel is updated. The services awesome. The social scene is great. The staff and the way you are treated during your stay is AMAZING.
