We live in Auburn, about 30 miles from this campground. It was the maiden voyage with our new travel trailer, and we didn't want to go far. But you know what? We didn't need to. We felt like we were far away because of the beautiful campground property and especially the trees. This is a family friendly campground, and we loved that there was no loud music or partying going on. The campsites are a decent distance from each other so there is privacy . The campground was decorated really cute with lots of Halloween scenes. The glamping tents looked nice as did the many campsites. It would be perfect for a family or group to stay here if some had campers and others didn't; everyone could be together. The bathrooms were very clean and the staff were friendly. We will definitely stay here again because it did give us a sense of being away from it all.…
Our family of 4 ages 46 to 9 all really had a great time. Truly a unique camping experience. We stayed during the month of October and we enjoyed the Halloween Theme through out the park. We watched Ghost Busters and The fantastic Mr. Fox in the forest, how cool is that? Easy 1 mile walk to the cute little city of Nevada City. No flame fire but you can rent a propane pit which was perfect for a 2 night stay. We are planning to go back again as our family enjoyed it a lot.
This was our second stay here. Glamping both times. Rented a gas fire pit, for which they handled set up, takeaway...very convenient. Super short walk to well lit and supplied bathrooms and showers. Great customer service. Cute decorated area for Halloween, great outdoor family movie night selections. Our 3 yr old boy LOVED the whole Glamping experience. We love that we can feel closer to nature without committing to bringing much camping gear, and also while being close to the conveniences of an adorable and historic downtown area. We appreciated that the owners were clearly abiding by recommended coronavirus guidelines. Not only did we feel safe moving around property, but it truly was a very nice and much needed getaway!
We stayed at a tent site in late Sept 2020 for 2 nites during the week when the air quality was somewhat poor. Not too busy at this time. Clean bathrooms and showers. There were also counter areas next to the bathrooms with dish soap and sinks for cleaning dishes. Flat areas w/o rocks for tents. Tent sites pretty well spaced apart but noticed that glamping tents were closer together (which might be nice for families/groups). Pros: quiet (partly due to time of year/week and covid), close (4 mins drive) to grocery/coffee shop for those who inadvertently forget their coffee press!, under tree canopy so there is shade and scenery (but some sap does fall), staff member Jenny replied to my email right away and was friendly/helpful at check-in, cleaning staff was friendly and wore masks, and reservations were easy. Cons: very strict about parking and having a tent at an RV site, the camping app they said to download was unnecessary, and difficult to see un-lit camp-site numbers at night. Overall, very nice and would stay here again.…
You won't find a better laid out campground in Northern California in my opinion. immaculate facilities- including the restrooms and showers. They thought of everything with you the camper in mind. Checkout the amenities on their website. I can tell you they are maintained in a stellar fashion. The whole place still looks brand new and it's several years old now. The service is 5 star as well. My wife and I enjoyed a weekend with the grand kids so much we came back for a weekend by ourselves!
