The location of the hotel was great, everything just within walking distance. The atmosphere in the hotel was great and really brought to life the old mill. Rooms were clean and nicely ordered, easy to access. The elevator in our building was drastically slow, but where to hurry on holiday. Walls and the roof were thin as you could easily hear what people were discussing in the next room of if someone were walking above you. Also, the noise from the restaurant next door came through very loud. The food at the restaurant was good. Great food comes with some noise.
Been traveling a bit lately and staying in what are considered the very best hotel chains in the USA, they don’t hold a candle to the Napa River Inn. The Napa River Inn has all the luxury and service of a 5 star hotel (even better) and all the quaintness and personal touches of a small local Inn. Check Inn was easy, professional and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, roomy and well appointed. Once again, all the amenities of a great 5 star property. Beds are very comfortable and the towels are fabulous! My room included breakfast from a bakery next door called Sweetie Pies (a must if you stay here or not) with either an option of having it delivered (pastries) by hanging request on the door evening before or by taking that same card to Sweetie Pies and making your own selection. The latter might include one of the best breakfast sandwiches in Napa Valley. I was staying 2 nights so had to try both. The first morning I had the pastries delivered which came promptly and was delivered by a real person with a cart and asked me if I needed any additional coffee pods (in room Keurig), tea, cream or sugar. Second and last morning I went to check out Sweeties Pies and opted for that breakfast sandwich and had a little left over to add a couple of their homemade dog treats for my Corgi back home! One other very small but very nice touch. After I returned to my room which had been serviced by the cleaning staff the person that cleaned my room had left me 4 pods of the dark roast (yes, I drink a lot of coffee) instead of the standard 2 that are usual. Just because they noticed what I had used that morning. It’s small but rare people just go another step further to make it a great experience. Thank you Napa River Inn, I’ll be back!…
We really enjoyed our stay at the Napa River Inn. The hotel is in the most perfect downtown location with plenty of free parking and within walking distance to all of the restaurants, bars and stores in downtown Napa. We stayed in room E112 which is in the annex building a short walk from the hotel lobby. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, nice size bathroom and separate sink and vanity area, in room safe and coffee maker. We also enjoyed the excellent pastries that were delivered to us each morning. Also, if you are driving an electric vehicle they have free charging stations for hotel guests. The staff were excellent especially the bellhops who were extremely helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I stayed at the Napa River Inn for our honeymoon in late November/Early December 2022. The room itself was absolutely gorgeous. The wooden furniture and brick accent walls give it a vintage but also luxury feel. This room included many great amenities such as very high quality toiletries, a coffee and tea station with coffee maker and electric kettle, and water in the mini fridge (all complimentary), extra blankets, and umbrellas to use if you need them (which we did!). Our housekeeping staff was top notch. They refilled the water daily, added extra blankets when they saw that we were using the additional blankets, they added extra kleenex (refilled and an additional box) when they saw that we were running low. That attention to detail is absolutely unmatched with any other place I've ever stated. Our stay also included a $10 discount to the bakery next to the Inn which has the absolute best baked goods and breakfast foods. You can eat in or have some things delivered to your room. The Inn is located in the heart of downtown Napa so we were within walking distance to the shopping downtown, numerous restaurants and bars and the river view was breathtaking. Additionally, the location is perfect if you're doing wine tours. We could go 10-15 minutes in any direction and hit at least 15 wineries along the way. I have nothing negative to say about this Inn. I'm already recommending it to all of my friends and definitely plan to stay there again on our next trip to Napa. …
The Napa River Inn is a rare enterprise in this over-amped and stressed out world. This is a hotel option that is totally focused on not only meeting but exceeding their guest’s needs and expectations. Within minutes of the start of my conversation with Rosie (Hotel Concierge) I knew I had found the right hotel for our visit to Napa Valley. Her energy, enthusiasm and experience came through loud and clear as did her commitment to provide the flexibility her clients need from time to time during their visit. I can go on and on about The Napa River Inn but I need to keep it short. The staff is friendly and efficient and kind and caring . At no time during our stay did a staffer fail to say hello and ask how our stay was going. It’s my opinion the staff is passionate about their hotel, their commitment to strengthen the company's reputation and most of all, the opportunity to provide their guests with a stress-free experience. I would highly recommend the hotel and take advantage of the help and support Rosie can provide to make your stay fun and memorable. She is an expert on the Napa restaurants, wineries, transportation companies and so on. Frankly, the Napa River Inn is fortunate to have employees who work as a coordinated team to eliminate frustrating experiences. Traveling is a crap shoot these days…there are unexpected hairpin turns and switchbacks everywhere…airlines are simply not reliable, cars are not available, commitments are not kept, people you depend on for support and problem solving are hard to find. But you can find them at the Napa River Inn. You will be treated with respect and admiration from the time you check in till you leave. …
Beautiful Hotel, is near to the downtown and the excellent restaurant you can walk. The decorations we love, the history about this place, the room if so confortable, the bathroom beautiful, the only thing was the air-conditioning not cooling enough
The room we selected was very comfortable and well appointed. Great location right along the river. The robes and slippers were a nice added touch to up level the experience. The Front desk staff were exceptional is assisting with recommendations for transportation, food, and other activities. Would definitely return to the Napa River Inn.
My wife and I hadn't been back to Napa in over ten years, and the Napa River Inn was just as outstanding as we remembered from our other visits there. This time we were accompanied by 9 of our friends and the group shared our complete satisfaction. A special shout-out to Sara and the concierge staff for the great work they did in helping set up the week's itinerary.
Everyone was very pleasant right from when I walked in the front door. All smiles from everyone. I was celebrating my 70th bday and the young gentleman didn’t hesitate to upgrade our room. Excellent location. Concierge was very helpful. The breakfast deal at Sweeties next door was fantastic. You get $20 worth of excellent breakfast goodies. We walked over each day. A 20 second walk. Very pleasant area to walk around and feel safe and welcoming. Great local restaurants too
1st time staying here and normally don’t stay in Downtown Napa. Really enjoyed the hotel, great location walkable to many great restaurants and tasting rooms. Room was very nice and the morning pastries delivered to the room were great.
