Spa at Vino Bello/Meritage Gorgeous Spa located in a cave. Beautiful rooms, separate women’s and men’s areas for showers, jacuzzi and steam. Includes outdoor pool and hot tub area for the day. Great variety to treatments available. I had the CBD massage with Mark, he is the very best!

The staff at Vino Bello was incredibly helpful during our stay. We were scheduled to check in during a major storm. Vino Bello allowed us to move our reservation dates back by one day at no charge, for which we are extremely grateful. It was a great stay for us and our family. We loved the pool and hot tub and it was a perfect base to explore Napa

Rooms are average size. It is nice that they include a microwave and washing and drying machines. The beds are not very comfortable, and the pillows were in bad condition. However, the most important thing to be aware of, is that it is a timeshare disguised as a hotel. Meaning that there is no daily housekeeping service. Rooms are taken care of every four days. Even worse, this is not mentioned when making a reservation. Next time I will look for a real hotel.

Maranda and Kay-lee made check in and our stay extra special. We were a large group and they totally accommodated us and made sure we were happy. I pray when I come back they are here. They were very patient and caring. Thanks for making our trip amazing. Also stop by crush and say hello to Glenda if you have children. My son absolutely loved her hospitality on Christmas.

Wyndham continues to place sales over service by pressuring guests to attend an "owner update," despite our repeatedly saying "no." That's not a good way to start a vacation. Overall, the property is first-rate, but it is showing many signs of inattentive management, e.g., the phone doesn't work properly, the flush valve in the toilet is leaking so it makes noise all night long, the curtains are ripped, a lamp doesn't work, a foot of weather stripping is hanging loose by a door, a baseboard is loose, and a glob of grease was still adhering to a skillet when we checked in. The number of parking spaces is much too small compared to the number of rooms. Otherwise, it's a nice place.

We booked 7 nights. My wife wanted to leave after the first two nights but I thought it would get better. We still left two days early. It was the most disturbing and disappointing experience of the fifteen years we have had a Hilton timeshare. This was the third time we rolled over to RCI. Bella Vino is not a Hilton property. The first unit we were given had unbelievably loud, erratic noises of loud hums, louder hums and clicks coming from the ceiling (ac/heater?). Even the front desk person admitted she couldn’t tolerate it. We were moved to the second floor in a unit that had a refrigerator that didn’t work. $50 worth of food in the refrigerator spoiled. The refrigerator was stuck at 60° (I brought a food thermometer) and food needs to be kept cold at below 40°. It took all day for the engineers to finally replace it with one from another unit. It was a miserable first two days. The building is so cheaply made you can hear the people upstairs and next door walking around, closing doors, moving furniture, and running fans and water. We were awakened every morning, and kept awake some nights. Plus, the toilet spontaneously refills all day long at irregular intervals. Half the time nobody at the front desk answered the phone. The concierge went to a voice mail every time. They are very understaffed. The employees we did get to talk with were very nice, though many were unexperienced. The sheets were polyester/cotton blends (no fitted sheet) and not tucked in properly, so the bed wrinkled immediately when the blanket was pulled back and the sheets pulled out when you lay down. The kitchen had no tea kettle, no dish drainer, no dry measuring cups and no place mats. It had such poor lighting that it was hard to see what I was cooking. The wifi is NOT secure. The brochure given at check in said they would send your mail, but they had no stamps and no meter to do so. The living room, kitchen, and dining room were dark and dreary. Half the time we had to park on the street because there was no room in the lot. On the plus side, the gas fireplace in the living room was nice, the inlaid tile in the floors was pretty, and the shower had good water pressure. Their wine tasting costs $50 a person, so we didn’t try it. Breakfast in the Olive & Hay Restaurant at the resort was very good and cost $100 (!) with two egg dishes and two mimosas. We also enjoyed the $14 bowl of soup we got at the onsite market. We strongly do not recommend this “resort”.

My husband and I stayed at Vino Bello Resort for an anniversary trip and our first time to Napa. It is located on the edge of Napa, away from the hustle and bustle. It boasts beautiful scenery, an amazing restaurant (Olive and Hay), and a few tasting rooms. Everything we needed was right there. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly and a complimentary bottle of wine in our room. Our first night we unable to find parking near our building so they gave us complimentary valet. They have a shipping service onsite, so we did not have to stress about how to get all of our wine home.

While the accommodations were very pleasant, there were some problems that were never addressed. Washer and dryer were behind sliding doors and placed where you couldn't open them. I finally sat on the floor in the closet and pushed with my feet. I shouldn't have to do that at my age and on vacation. A few other housekeeping issues that should not have happened and it was difficult to get anyone to respond. Confusion between whose problem it was. Vino Bello was mostly interested in scheduling time share talks and that was who we booked with. Meritage seemed to be interested in helping, though each seemed to blame the other. The grounds were very pleasant and a walk through the vineyards on the property was extremely interesting. Not very crowded early in the week and the hot tub, splash pad, fire pit and kiddie pool were nicely spaced apart. All in all, very comfortable. Convenient to trader Joe's and restaurants all a short drive away

Starting with the pros: - Staff service was good and they are very kind with the guests. - Nice shower. Cons: We had the standard room for 4, they didn’t have two double beds so gave us one with a sofa bed instead. The room is super small, once the sofa bed is made it’s almost impossible to walk through the room. Hotel is super old, needs a good refurbishment asap. Phone in the room doesn’t even worked properly so we had to walk a lot just to get some sheets for the sofa bed. Parking is horrible and small if you come in summer season, same with the pool. Definitely not worth it for the money paid, it’s just an awful experience.

I wonder why any company believes a focus on sales is more important than service, yet Wyndham always starts my vacation by trying to persuade me to attend a sales presentation. And despite my supposedly high level of ownership, they put me in a room overlooking the service area to the restaurant, so my early mornings were disturbed by big trucks and food carts, mid-day was disturbed by other trucks idling or playing loud music, and late evening was disturbed by more food carts. One day, a major carpet steaming was going on in the hallway. One night, water was running loudly much of the time. The air conditioner is so loud it reminds me of staying near the runway at LAX. We were in a studio (all that was available), which provided a small refrigerator and microwave, but no cooking utensils and no knives, so "cooking in the room," as advertised when we bought points, was a challenge. Parking is a major challenge since there appear to be many more rooms than there are parking spaces. On the plus side, the room was clean and in good repair. My wife loves having a washer and dryer in the room (so she doesn't have to pack dirty laundry). And the weather was very pleasant -- with lows in the 50s and highs around 80. At least they got that right!
