We booked a much needed escape weekend at Carneros, really looking forward to the top notch service that we’ve always experienced at the resort. Unfortunately, that is not what we experienced. The hotel’s restaurants were overbooked to the point that as hotel guests, we had to escalate to the manager of the Farm to even get a late night table on a Sunday. The first night there were no options so we were left with room service. It took about 15 minutes to get through to them and when the order arrived it was missing items. Paying 1k a night for a hotel room if you stay here, don’t expect the service you used to receive. I recommend elsewhere and we won’t be staying here again. The view was nice from the pool though. And the rooms are still clean.

We just returned from a three day weekend with friends at Carneros. We opted to stay in a villa. Three bedroom. The check in process was a breeze in the lobby was beautiful. We journied back to our room and unfortunately were welcomed by a very disheveled and unclean room. The drapes in the outdoor patio area had dirt dobber nests and all the windows were covered with cobwebs. The interior family room was also full of cobwebs on the ceiling that were covered with bugs. Our bedroom had stained carpet and several of the potted plant areas in the courtyard and off the master bedroom deck were completely dead. Mind you this is a $4000 per night room. Another strange thing was that there were no candles available in any of the hurricane candleholders on the deck or on the mantle. We asked about how to use the speaker system in the house and were told that it was inoperable. Thank God we brought our brought along a small travel speaker or we would have been out of luck. We were also told there were two king-size bedrooms and one queen size bedroom. In reality there was one king bed and one queen bed and in the third bedroom or actually three beds. We ended up shoving them together to make do but it was subpar for a romantic weekend. The grounds were well-kept and the food quality at the restaurant in the pool were both good but the service overall was horrific. 30 minutes to get a glass of wine 30 minutes to get a cocktail 30 minutes even to get ice tea at poolside. We could not for the life of us figure out why the service would be so bad in the middle of a Covid pandemic. Needless to say we won’t be back unfortunately.

I had to do some business in Napa and decided to stay at Carneros for the first time. this is one of if not the best resort and spa I’ve ever stayed . I didn’t have to go out for restaurants. they had extended hours for room service and meals. there’s several restaurants at the facility for breakfast lunch or dinner. There’s a small market to pick up bottles of wine, food to go bling and other memorabilia. My room had an indoor outdoor shower incredible privacy. I could leave the patio door open all night there was a fence so nobody could peek in. The TV remote actually worked I could find all the channels The room had an outdoor fireplace and an indoor fireplace. Especially helpful because it is a large resort - They had a golf cart to transport me from my room to dinner up to the hilltop restaurant and infinity pool. Every single staff person I met was pleasant they all seem to know my name in light of the pandemic I was one of the few people staying there it was incredibly quiet it was the best introduction to my first visit at the resort I could ever imagine On a whim I asked and they were able to fulfill my request. I gave them a generous dollar amount to work with and ask them to pick and choose a selection of food from their menu appetizer entrée and dessert and wine and surprise me and I wouldn’t have to select through the menu they pick the most astonishing meal I’ve had the dessert was chocolate cake with gold leaf was incredible. The next time I go to Napa I will certainly be staying at Carneros I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else

The service was fantastic - they’ve struck the right balance of attention/service and safety. The resort layout naturally feels safe and spacious - private (beautiful) cottages and lots of outdoor dining (literally don’t need to leave the grounds). I’ve now visited twice in the past month and can’t wait for the next trip. A perfect getaway from the pandemic.

We have not been anywhere since Christmas vacation (due to COVID) and decided to do a long weekend get away at Carneros. What an amazing treat. Felt badly about leaving kids so opted for a family cottage which was amazing, luxurious, and rejuvenated the soul. Everything was super clean, very comfortable, and felt like a get away. Staff very friendly and helpful. My kids shower did not drain quickly and water accumulated. We did not want anyone in our room so told the hotel upon leaving. All else was luxurious and it was SO NICE TO BE TOGETHER. We rented bikes during the day, lounged by the pool, read books, played games, hung out in the hot tub, etc and most importantly felt like we got away.
