1801 First is operated by a husband and wife team that has changed the mindset of the traditional bed and breakfast. It has been branded as a landmark property according to The Napa Landmarks Association and continues to be the curb appeal Inn for all tourists and locals alike! We have owned this beauty for 5 years and have loved being apart of its rich history. It's a true luxury Inn with graceful rounded bay windows, courtyard gardens and romantic fireplace lodgings adorn this historic and newly revitalized Queen Anne Victorian. Designed in 1903 by prominent Napa architect William Corlett, 1801 First has been meticulously transformed into an inviting chic retreat, blending its stunning classic architecture with sophisticated styling and decor.

Our stay at the 1801 first luxury Inn was absolutely delightful! This B&B in the heart of downtown Napa is the best of all worlds. Our room was the jr suite - cozy yet spacious with a welcoming fireplace and comfy chairs. The bathroom was updated with a large soaking tub which

My boyfriend and I loved our stay here! Carrie, Shirlee, and Laura went above and beyond to make sure that we had an amazing stay. From the friendly and impeccable service to the cozy and beyond comfortable room (La Dolce Cottage), I wouldn't change a detail about our stay, and

WOW! Monica! This is just a Amazing review!! Thank you for your sweet and kind words!! I am absolutely speechless and so thrilled you both loved your stay!! We had such a wonderful time with you both and I loved checking you both in and seeing the happy smiles on your faces! Thank you for also mentioning our fun and entertaining wine hours too! We love when we can take the time and enjoy our guests' company! :) And THANK YOU for saying about our hard working chefs! We are so fortunate to have such talented people apart of our 1801 Family!! We love their dishes but my fav is the Migas and his French toast! Can't get enough of it and I always have to watch myself with the cookies! Yup..their pastries are absolutely sinful, but so good! The croissants are just delish too! It was our pleasure to provide the ultimate in hospitality and service for you!! We thank you again for your thoughtfulness! I'm blushing.... :) Monica and Mike, please call us anytime you want to come back to our 1801! Your Cottage and chefs' pastries will be waiting for you! :) Have a fabulous New Year 2019! Best and Blessings, Blair, Carrie, Shirlee & Laura Ps. Thank you for this awesome caption!!! :)

My husband and I had been looking forward to our stay after reading all the glowing reviews online. Our expectation for "luxury" must be very different than most of the reviewers on Trip Advisor which is very surprising because we find our thoughts are usually in line with Trip

What a delightful, perfectly located spot to explore Napa! This was our second time visiting the area in the last two years and prior to this, we stayed at a resort (that was dog friendly) 15 minutes from downtown. We decided to leave the dog at home this time and stay right in

We had one of the private cottages in back and this could not have been a more perfect way to spend a special occasion. The staff was so accommodating when we arrived much later than expected and had a nice charcuterie plate and wine waiting for us. The nightly wine gathering

Is this a pet friendly property?
As much as we love our pets, (our chefs and owners have dogs), we ask for our guests to leave their companions at home. We could have guests that might have an allergic reaction to pet hair. Therefore we want them to feel at ease, comfortable, and have a luxurious experience with us! Hope that helps! :)

Is a fitness facility available?
Not at the Inn. I jogged through town one more when I was still on east coast time (and before we started in with all the wine) and it was beautiful. Quiet and peaceful.

Actually, the smart business answer is the truth, because nobody wants to give a guest a disappointing experience, and I expect you will get reasonable responses. Your best bet is to call the wineries and places you want to visit and ask. You can also check the answers you get by searching online for reports of damage. The main thing to be concerned about is any damage to the main highways running north and south in Napa, as they can tie up traffic badly if damaged.
