My wife and I came into town after a friend’s wedding in Calistoga, deciding to spend 4 nights in Napa as a mini getaway/delayed extension to our honeymoon as we cut ours short in May. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like honored guests but with the warmth of family. I cannot speak highly enough about the service or the staff— every interaction was pleasant, we never had to search for someone to help out, and all of our needs were addressed before we even knew they were needs!!! The facility is extremely well maintained and authentic, but packed with amenities at the same time. You can (and we did) enjoy the wine hour with your housemates n the gorgeous back terrace, soak in the garden tub (we did) in your room, or stroll around the cute little neighborhood that surrounds the B&B. (You guessed it— did that, too!) With two hot breakfast options every morning and a flexible time frame during which to take it, we enjoyed AMAZING food every day before heading out on our wine tours— comfortably, and in the peace and quiet of the breakfast nook with the beautiful windows and view. The location is SUPER convenient for both downtown Napa and the wineries alike— we were easily on the highway even with the construction going at the time, and we walked to a couple of our dinners in town without any problems. No question— the next time we are back, we are staying at 1801!!! Thanks to the staff and owners for such a GREAT experience— our very first in Napa!!…
In one word our stay at 1801 First Luxury Inn was ‘delightful’. We were a group of 6 and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience. From our welcome and Carrie’s tour to our rooms to the evening wine tasting and waking up to an exquisite visit it was an outstanding visit to Napa. The entire team went above and beyond our expectations. We will definitely be back.
After a long day of travel, we walked in the beautiful Inn and were handed a glass of wine and some cheese and we sat down in the comfortable front living room and chatted with the owner and a couple other guests. We hadn't even checked in yet! The place was great. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfasts were outstanding each morning - and different each time. The owners always came and talked to us and shared stories and gave us advice on things to do and places to eat. We were within walking distances of dozens of restaurants in Napa. Also, we were in a good location as a home base for visiting the Napa Valley, Sonoma Valley as well as a drive to the coast and through the Redwoods. Can't wait to go back.
Spent a fabulous two days here and loved every second! Owners so helpful and friendly, and attention to detail is evident from the wonderful rooms to the delicious breakfast each morning. Loved the evening wine hour where we had a chance to meet others staying there as well. Would highly recommend!
Stayed at 1801 First last weekend and had a wonderful stay. Our room was comfortable and cozy. The owners and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The location was perfect. We went on the Napa Wine Train and we were close enough to walk, also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast at the inn was delicious. We loved their frittata!
