This bed and breakfast is what you dream of when you think of the most wondrous pampering by the warmest/kindest and most humble hosts in Napa. My husband and I have been to this inn now twice and Carrie, Blaire and Laura are the best hosts we have ever had through our travels whether that is in the USA or abroad. The entrance/check in begins with a chilled glass of wine before you are escorted to your well appointed room which will have gourmet handmade truffles waiting. YUM!! They have an evening wine and COVID friendly social hour with individualized charcuterie every evening...not to be missed! They will take your breakfast order the night prior but each is individually prepared alongside fresh baked bakery items such as the most mouthwatering scones/croissants and muffin assortments. The breakfasts are superb and we are foodies! Since the inn is located just near downtown Napa, we would either go for a nice run or walk before/after our breakfast before heading out to explore. What a fantastic trip and I cannot give a higher accolade!! Highly highly highly recommend. We plan to make this a yearly stay and will travel cross country to make it. Cheers!…
My husband and I stayed at 1801 First last week and had a fantastic stay!! Everything about this inn is exceptional - the service, breakfast, location, rooms and all amenities. We stayed in a junior suite upstairs and found that it was perfectly cozy and charming, and loved the large bathroom and fireplace. Breakfast every day was delicious - also I am a vegetarian and they went above and beyond to serve me a delicious breakfast! Carrie and Shirley were so helpful with recommendations for wineries and restaurants. We truly felt welcomed like old friends. We hope to be back and cannot recommend 1801 enough!!
Cannot say enough great things about 1801 first. From the moment you are greeted with a glass of wine and truffles, to a gourmet breakfast that will blow your socks off, to kind manager and owner, this house comes through in so many ways. It is by far the best B&B we have stayed, and wouldn't stay anywhere else.
I surprised my husband with an evening getaway last month. We are locals but even locals enjoy an evening away from home. The staff was wonderful. We were welcomed with a tour around the premises and a wine happy hour so much fun! The room was beautiful, chocolate truffles, beautiful deep tub, fireplace, and just coziness. The next morning we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast! The breakfast area was very cozy, and Blair kept us entertained with conversation and cooking tips. This beautiful inn is located just a few blocks from downtown, walking distance to restaurants, shopping, music and wine tasting!Overall a wonderful get away we would do again! Thank you to the wonderful staff! The Thomassers
After a surprise birthday party my wife surprised me again with a night in this beautiful B&B. A perfect ending to a perfect day. Our room was spectacular and the oversized tub was amazing. In the morning my wife raved about the breakfast and I learned from Blair how to cook scrambled eggs, who new I was doing it wrong all these years. If you are going to visit Napa I recommend that you stay here, it’s close to the Oxbow and all the shops in downtown Napa.
