We had a lovely stay at the Senza. It's set up as a few separate buildings around a main building where the reception desk is (and snacks, wine, assistance etc). The rooms are comfortable and quiet. This is not a resort-type hotel -- it's more of a cross between a hotel and b&b. A generous continental breakfast menu is available and breakfast is delivered whenever you'd like (we loved the pastries, yogurt, etc). There's a comfortable pool, hot tub, and fire pit. There's also plenty of parking, and you're surrounded by vineyards. We stayed in the Senza suite, which is attached to the Senza loft. There was one large bedroom with a small kitchenette (mini fridge, sink, Nespresso), a smaller room with a sofa bed and TV, and a private patio. Robes/slippers were provided, plus some water in the fridge. The staff were all super helpful, answering lots of questions about food options in the area, jogging routes, random toiletries we'd forgotten to bring, etc. Definitely plan to return again.

Right up front, I will clarify that I did not actually stay at the hotel. This review is more about their booking and cancellation process. I booked a room on May 14 and 2 days later decided to cancel it and expected to get refunded within 2-3 days, or 5 days at the latest. 10 days and 2 phone calls later, still had not received my refund for an amount over $1,000. When I called the second time, the customer service representative’s literal answer was that my refund was “stuck in cyberspace”. Not sure what that was supposed to mean exactly but given that this was 9 days after my cancellation and her answer was that my refund would possibly take up to another 10 days, I gave up and disputed the charge with my credit card company. I usually like to give businesses the benefit of the doubt and tried to do so in this case, but this was unacceptable and something I’ve never experienced with any hotel ever before. Given this experience without ever having set foot there, I’m glad I canceled and didn’t choose to stay at this establishment.

I am truly disappointed to read that your challenges in getting a simple refund from your initial reservation, took soo long and many interactions to try and resolve. I totally agree that the "lost in cyberspace" comment served no purpose in allowing you to have closure on a delayed return of your funds, and is one that I will personally be meeting with all customer service team members to better handle moving forward. While we haven't shown our strengths during your initial involvement with us, I would like to offer my personal assistance should you reconsider a future visit to SENZA, or need local knowledge in finding an alternative place to stay in wine country once you are able to visit again. - I found a large chunk of skin in my bathroom from a previous guest - The breakfast is disgusting, I understand it's COVID however the effort is embarrassing for $600+ a night - I had a random ladder & all the hotel dirty laundry outside my door for 3 nights - My friends sent me a bottle of champagne to celebrate and I was not made aware. I luckily found it randomly in the mini fridge during check-out - No where to have a drink - Every-time you call no one answers the phone - The front desk is not staffed for a large time during the day. Its like walking into a deserted hotel. I stayed here 2 years ago and it was much better. Terrible maximum 2 star hotel now.

We chose the king suite on the vineyard as our room. Loved staring out into the vineyards from our room. In the morning we were able to see hot air baloons rising while we were still in bed with the sunrise. The rooms were also very nice.

1) We received no welcome, it was supposed to be a pampering boutique hotel, instead we have been treated like at a fast food restaurant. The check in atmosphere was the one of a 2 star motel. 2) We have been given the worst room, no view, ground floor, close to the parking, definitely not worth $800 that we paid. A shame. Even worse we booked through Amex Platinum Travel. We asked for a better room, they said it was the last one, unless we wanted to upgrade for $150 more to one at the first floor, with no view. 3) We got to the room and there was no cold water. We asked for help, but they couldn't fix it. Another guy told us actually there was another room available, facing the pool, but the first person didn't offer us that room. It happened just 20 minutes before. Although that other room was still ground floor, and as our daughter just fell asleep we decide not to move room. Considering it was 10pm already, we would have expected at least to offer the free upgrade to the first floor room. Nope, it didn't happen. Any other hotel would have offered it. 4) 7:00 am on the following morning, it was Sunday, the front desk called us waking everybody up, to ask if they could share our information to our travel agency for marketing purposes. I was furious, I even explained the reason why I was upset and that they could have been more sensitive and maybe call later in the morning or ask us at check out. They did not apologize, actually they said they just executed a request of somebody calling in. I was speechless. 5) Check out process was barely "OK", but again, beyond cold experience, same experience you usually have at a 2 star motel. No apologies for the cold water (still not fixed), no apologies for the useless and disrespectful 7:00 am, not even offered a discount for all the issues. The hotel was clean and modern and the pool was nice, although very noisy as the hotel is on the Napa Valley freeway, the main issues we had was about how we have been treated by the staff. WE WILL NOT COME BACK.
