Excellent spontaneous getaway! Food excellent, service excellent, Golf excellent. Excellent experience! It was our first visit. The staff made sure that it was memorable. Great place to hold a retreat! Beautiful views.
You must go! This resort is beautiful with stunning grounds, excellent food at the Grille ( plenty of outdoor seating) and Market( has best pastries- the Cruffins, etc), and friendly staff always masked. Our jr suite was comfortable and quiet. The spa was fantastic with heavenly mani and pedi. It was a memorable sisters trip. We plan to return.
The hotel is not bad -- it's just not worth the rate they charge. The rooms are tiny, not in the best shape, and relatively pedestrian. I would expect lavish and exquisite for the cost of the resort but instead got a room on par with a generic Doubletree.
I guess I should have read the reviews before I booked this hotel. The hotel is overpriced for what it is. The rooms are very old and not soundproofed. I could hear conversations next door. There was no housekeeping during my stay. I even called and asked them to come clean the room but no one came. After all that, my bill was WRONG! I was at the front desk over an hour explaining to them why it was wrong. The front desk staff keeps running to the back office to explain to the Director. The Director never came out to apologize or bother to communicate with me. Then I had to leave for a scheduled wine tasting, so I asked the front desk to give me a call back and email me the updated statements. It has been 3 days since I left and I have receive nothing at all!
What could be a jewel of the valley had declined to a mediocre - at best - resort. Having recently stayed at other, truly great resort where service and upkeep were strong despite Covid, Silverado uses the recovery and hiring as a blanket excuse for all shortcomings. The Spa is outdated. Tired and poorly maintained, with uncaring service staff. The masseuse was one, positive exception. Concierge is hard to reach for days at a time and rarely returned emails, making scheduling difficult with no confirmation. The Grill is lacking in any personality of dining room, staff or menu. One other bright spot was the tennis Pro, Quinn. Great clinic. New owners have their work cut out to the facility, the food, but especially to create a service oriented staff.
We absolutely loved this resort. The perfect place to stay when visiting the Napa area. The staff really goes out of their way to make you feel at home. Also if you have any interest in tennis or golf, this location is top notch. The tennis pros took great care of us, made great recommendations on things to do on the resort and wineries to visit in the area. They were very friendly and a lot of fun.
We were woken before sunrise by the golf course grounds keepers. They started cutting the grass and using a leaf blower before 6am the noise from this was extraordinary in our room and woke us. We then went to the pool area for a swim before check out and were greeted by noisy building works around the pool. We were planning on reporting this at check out later that day but the reception area was total chaos and we just couldn’t wait to leave. A beautiful resort to look at but definitely not worth the price if you value your sleep.
We spent a week in Napa and Sonoma Valleys golfing and wine tasting. We ended our trip at the Silverado Resort. The property was exceptional. Our cottage was between the 2nd green and 3rd Tee north course. It was beautiful!
I stayed there and the place is nice. Unfortunately, the room I stayed in was noisy. The A/C and refrigerators make more noise than the standard equipment. The A/C at the top of the ceiling has two beam lights that stay ON all time and that makes it harder to rest. The outdoors makes you feel good, the staff are friendly and I genuinely believe that they strive but in the end, if you pay for a room at Silverado, you should expect a decent room (not talking about luxury but just a well-kept place with attention to detail) and that did not happen this time. I don't feel like I had a fair chance to rest and that is the reason behind my review.
We travelled for a week with 7 couples. We ended our vacation in Napa staying here 3 nights and the only place we stayed more than one night. We split a condo with another couple and it was nice having a kitchen and living area. I found the lodging good and comfortable and very convenient to Napa and other places in the valley. While we did not plan the trip to use the amenities, 2 of the 3 mornings we had, I began my day walking the entire 18 of the southern course. I was a good walk with some elevation but not too much. Again I really enjoyed the stay out in the countryside here. My only negative is the condos are much further than the other lodging units. We had hoped to use our unit as a base for our entire party but we were a little far away. Still we had a great stay here and I highly recommend.…
