    Great location but lacking service
First the good - Walkable location and pretty courtyard area, free covered parking with charging stations), large room with comfy bed and a kitchenette and coffee supplies. But the service - Ehh.... On check-in, I specifically asked not to be facing the road and train station. Employee "checked" and said we would be facing the back of the hotel. Our room was smack in front of the train station, which luckily was not a major sound issue except for some road noise, but the exact opposite of what the employee said we would have. No housekeeping service/towel change had been done when we arrived back at our room at 4 pm on the second day (we were here for 3 nights) but someone left new water bottles in the room (so someone entered the room to replace water bottles, but nothing else was done) "Continental breakfast" is VERY skimpy so don't count on it. Today nothing was put out went we went downstairs at 8:30am. The first morning only a few small croissants were put out and were quickly gone.
Dear Beth TO, We are delighted to have been your chosen hotel during your recent stay in Napa. It was truly a pleasure to serve you. We appreciate your business and value your honest feedback. Your valuable feedback helps identify areas of opportunity for us to improve the guest experience. We certainly fell short on our promise to deliver exceptional service during your stay. Please accept my most sincere apologies regarding your experience. It was certainly not a typical experience here at Westin Verasa Napa and also not the renewing experience we strive to provide our guests. I have passed your feedback to our Leadership team to review and follow-up internally. We will use the feedback as a teachable moment and continue brainstorming ways we can exceed our guests' expectations. Pool area and fire pits are amazing!
I decided to treat myself and use points for a night stay, as I was craving some relaxation and pool time. I received an email a few days prior with a comprehensive overview of current available amenities - no valet, but parking garage is free, restaurant has limited hours, etc. They also temporarily have reduced the resort fee to $10. I know that most hotels and restaurants are dealing with staffing shortages, but it did not impact my stay at all. Upon check in, I was acknowledged as a titanium member and although I arrived super early, they checked me in and called me when my room was ready. The pool towels were always fully stocked and the surrounding areas were cleaned often by the housekeeping staff. The restaurant provided excellent service for a wonderful outdoor dinner and the fire pit/lounge area was the perfect atmosphere for a nice relaxing evening. This property did not disappoint!
Dear tiffany000, On behalf of the entire hotel team, we want to thank you for sharing your experiences with us during your recent stay at the Westin Verasa Napa. It is always encouraging to hear positive feedback, particularly when it comes from those who matter the most – you! By taking pride in putting people first, we are not only executing the mission of our founders, but exceeding the expectations of our valued guests. Please note your feedback has been shared with the hotel team as a critical way of understanding how we can continue to deliver great experiences. Once again, we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We also recognize these are unusual times and we thank you for choosing to stay with us.

Outstanding 6 Week Stay! Home Away from Home
I just completed a six week extended stay due to construction work happening at home and had to share my outstanding experience. The two-bedroom suite with a full kitchen and two bathrooms was perfect for the long stay. Every morning I would start my day working out on one of the Peloton bikes available in the fitness center (a major reason why I chose this hotel), grab a complimentary Starbucks brewed coffee from the hotel lobby, and sit on the sunny, spacious balcony overlooking the Napa River. The suite was well taken care of, quiet, and conducive to remote working during the day. Secure parking was another requirement for the stay and even during busy weekends with wine tasters coming in, there was always a space to be found. This hotel is extremely dog friendly, with all rooms available for guests with dogs and there are great walks and doggie bags provided throughout the grounds. What made the stay above and beyond, starting a month before the stay and continuing until check out, was the phenomenal guest experience led by Katey Wheeler, the Rooms Division Manager. Katey was in contact before and throughout the stay to make sure I was comfortable and helped arrange housekeeping and use of the fitness center (now no longer required as Napa County has since entered a lower COVID risk tier). Throughout my six weeks, I always felt I had a direct line to someone I could count on in case any issues came up, but honestly, I had no issues! Every hotel should have a Katey! I am grateful I was able to spend so much time in Napa and explore many new wineries…and call the Westin Verasa home during that time. Will definitely be back!
Dear kscottr, On behalf of the entire hotel team, we want to thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences with us from your recent stay at the Westin Verasa Napa. Thank you for your kind words! We are delighted to have been your home away from home! Please note your comments have been shared with the hotel team as a critical way of understanding how we can continue to deliver great experiences. We also recognize these are unusual times and we thank you for choosing to stay with us! We look forward to welcoming you back next time!

This is a very large hotel with a good location to dining and downtown Napa. The hotel offers complimentary valet service and shuttles to nearby restaurants. The rooms are nicely appointed and clean. Pool area is lovely with a spacious jacuzzi. Complimentary breakfast was delicious.

While this hotel isn't in the heart of downtown it's close enough for a daytime 15-minute stroll. Full disclosure I used my Bonvoy points on a Sunday one-night stay. We asked and were given a complimentary upgrade to a one-bedroom suite which was very clean and comfortable. After an early evening concert at the Blue Note Napa, we enjoyed nightcaps by the fire pit and lobby area. It is also steps from Oxbow and the Wine Train which we took the next morning. Definitely will plan a return next fall as the staff was super nice and friendly.

I went during this Labour Day and the hotel is very busy and 100% full house. I checked late at night and didn’t see the view of my one bedroom suite and next day I asked for changing of room . I tried to talk to one of the receptionist and she turned me down hard. Then I lined up and talked to the manager Grace instead. Grace is very helpful and explained me the situation but I told her I was full of expectation to arrive Napa and would like to switch to another room for better view for last night stay. Then she managed to find me a room facing the river and with sun and its rm# 3035. I really love Grace attending to customers and she is fabulous! Definitely when I come back to Napa again, I will stay in this hotel!

I stayed at the Westin b/c I was attended a conference down the street and this was an excellent choice. The staff were first rate. Everyone was friendly and helpful and made me feel important. The room was comfortable. I really appreciated that the pillows were not TOO fluffy as I like them a little less plump. The sheets were soft and cool. I also appreciated that they give you free bottled water which is really nice. The restaurant was good too if you aren't able to head out for a meal. I would definitely recommended staying here if you're in Napa!

My husband and I decided to stay here as we were taking the Napa Valley Wine Train (see separate review) as an anniversary excursion. The hotel was literally steps away from the Wine Train platform in a great location. The Westin has has a nice Arts and Craft exterior and nicely maintained. I expected it to be high end, since the nightly rate was a little pricey. However, I this place was very mediocre. We were greeted at check in by a young woman, who simply looked at my I’d, mispronounced my name and handed us the key. The electronic key tied to your cell phone was down, as was all the other snappy technology this hotel boasts. When I got to the room I realized I was missing meal vouchers as I had booked the dining experience at the hotel. I called the front desk to remedy the situation and instead of an apology, I received a sassy desk clerk stating that they were not offering this promotion and that she would talk to the manager (rather than putting him on). After a round of snarky back and forth, I finally got the promotional gift cards, unceremoniously wrapped in a post it note and slid under the door. The room itself was small and nothing special. A standard boring hotel. Our carpet was completely drenched with liquid in one corner and when I called maintenance rather than an offer to move to another room, I was told by the worker that “the maid musta spilled something”. I will never stay here again. I have better places to spend my travel dollars. It won’t be here, and it won’t be Napa.

Stayed here for the July 4th weekend. The hotel has a great location, right next to the river and Oxbow common, and short walk to downtown Napa. It's not a big resort. Our room overlook the street with a small balcony, but no balcony chairs to seat out. There are some wear and tear in the room, it can use a bit more maintenance. The pool area doesn't have enough chairs for everyone, especially if you want shade. The pool isn't big and have a lot of kids. During out stay the temperature was mid 90s on the first day so it was packed. The valet parking was well run and smooth. Staffs at the front desk are friendly and courteous. The onsite restaurants have limited hours, we never get to have meals there as its already closed. Definitely wish they have longer hours. The last day we were there is also July 4th, so it was very convenient to be able to walk to Oxbow common for the celebration. Overall it was pleasant stay. Location is the best attribute to this hotel.

It’s a shame the Westin Napa is basically an upscale Embassy suites. Back in the day, the Westin brand men’s, and upscale experience it seems that Marriott has differentiated the Westin and other similar brands to its second tier under the Ritz and the St Regis. $650 a night stay and it just feels like a business executive working suite. Absolutely nothing wrong with the hotel. Everybody was friendly courteous. It’s just literally no bang for the buck here. I guess it’s Napa and all that Napa has to offer and it’s a Allure and location. Honestly, it comes down to being just a comfortable room with a nice restaurant attached to it

Excellent kid friendly hotel. Check in was easy, valet efficient with free parking. We had a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen & terrace. Room was clean, spacious & comfortable. Pool area had multiple cabanas. Nice fire pit, seating area to hangout when not in pool. 4-5 min walk to oxbow market. Ten minute walk to downtown Napa. Perfect place for families.

We had a 3-night splurge vacation here, and no regrets. Beautiful property within walking distance of everything you want to do in downtown Napa. Friendly and capable staff. I want to point out Rafael (Rafi). We had an issue with our mini fridge - at 5:00 p.m.! - and he came to extract it, replace it, and then brought back the repaired original the next day. Went out of his way. A lovely spot.

I was able to stay at the Westin Verasa Napa Valley for the Brian Culbertson's Napa Valley jazz getaway. I have been to the getaway before but was not able to get a room at the Westin. I am so so glad that I was able to get a room this time! The room was perfect and exceptionally clean. I had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the courtyard which was perfect for being able to listen to music and actually see the artist downstairs when they were playing. It was good to be at the host hotel to be right there and able to participate in all the activities. The hotel is also in a perfect location and is a short walking distance to downtown Napa and to Oxbow. I plan on coming back next year and staying at the Westin Verasa again.
