We enjoyed our stay at the resort. Very friendly place and safe! They had a live band, and movie night the weekend we were there. If you forget something the store is really close in walking distance and a little coffee shop also. I was surprised to see a dog park....I know my fur babies would of enjoyed that. Hope to return again next year.
Found this park 2 years ago and loved it then and still love it. You’re camping among the redwoods along the Eel River and it’s absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet. The reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is due to no dump at the campsite and only having 30 amp hookup. But I’d definitely go back. The staff in the office were very friendly and helpful. Love this park! Not your typical big rig concrete park. This is camping at its best!
It was just wonderful. Everyone was so nice. I loved seeing all the campfires going at night. Someone was playing some good music. We had full service although we didn't use the cable. Easy to get to. Our came site was pull through which is good for us beginners. We reserved a space last minute. Firewood was for sale and a store was available. There is a Market that has early hours and close enough to walk to which is good. Dog park and play ground!!! Everyone's dogs were polite themselves. I just can't wait to go back.
Honestly I can only say it was wonderful! The site, the people working there, the fellow campers! I enjoyed the short drive in the Redwoods to see the sites; tallest Redwood Tree, Humboldt State Park settings, Eel River. The restroom was impeccably clean! I give it a 10 out of 10!
We booked this as a 3-day getaway in the redwoods and were very happy we did. We arrived late after the office had closed, but had our reservation waiting for us in their drop box. The full-hookup amenities are convenient and this park is the first one that the connection for the TV worked well! Also, the wi-fi was very fast and easy to get on. The place was very clean, the staff were very friendly, even though we didn't really talk to them, they did wave and say hello. The dog park was a great addition, clean and large for the pups to roam around. The location is awesome as you could walk to the river, do some sight seeing by walking to the drive-thru tree, or drive to some of the local sites that are less than an hour away at the furthest. The website is also very informative as it gives you a great idea of what's around and things to do. Really appreciate the stay, the cleanliness and feeling welcome.…
Just off highway 101 tucked away in the Big trees and nestled up along the ELL River is a very clean, Quite, relaxing RV Park… has full hook ups and we had water electric and cable, with a generous site. We had our friends next to us and experienced a great experience at the park… walking distance to the River… We have stayed there before, and since we are about 45mins away, The Giant Redwood and Cabins RV resort has become our go to RV park to hick off our travels and to just escape to peaceful, relaxing weekend away from home. I recommend staying here and see what peace y’all can find.
Great stay. Hidden gem among the Avenue of the Giants. Compared to about every other campground up and down that 33 miles of the Avenue of the Giants this is the pick of the litter. Very clean, friendly staff, spacious sites right along the Eel river. Great facilities, laundry, heated restrooms and shower area. Free spacious shower. Cable TV was a bonus. Curious why they blocked CNN and NBC stations when they were listed as options in the 25 channel guide. Only stations available were Fox News and OAN in that regard. :-(
We really enjoyed our one night stay in this park...it was peaceful and serene. The facilities were well maintained and the staff was friendly. We were fortunate to stay on the night of a clear, starry sky...magnificent.
The entire experience with our friends staying in 2 RV campsites and my husband and I staying in a clamping Cabin was top notch. The campground was clean and well kept with friendly and helpful staff. But what I really want to talk about is the clamping cabin. We were SO impressed of the well thought-out design and amenities the cabin actually provided. From the placement of electrical outlets, to the furniture, small fridge, microwave, decorations, smart tv, and the ambience of an electric fireplace. The bunkbeds added extra space for our luggage and high enough to slide boxes of our supplies under without taking cabin space. There is no running water in the cabin, but we were provided our own key and private super clean bathroom complete with shower not too far from the cabin (50 yards). My only suggestion would be to add a small fold-down shelf in the bathroom for personal items. I would highly recommend this clean inviting Campground to all campers. We will be back. PS the private beach is a convenient walk but unfortunately this year water was extremely low. We can't wait to be back and enjoy this campground feature as well....Great Place.…
Very pleasant RV park with many shade trees and some actual large Redwoods! Sites are spaced an acceptable distance apart and some overlook the Eel River and excellent swimming hole. Surrounding forest is beautiful and Humboldt Redwoods State Park a couple of miles north.
