Very sweet old historical home. Walking distance to downtown. The rooms are very comfortable. The owners are on site and address anything you would need. Kind people. Plenty of parking and not costing you a dime.....:)

We have had the opportunity to stay here twice and both times it was splendid. The house reflected the era when the Inn was built but had all the modern amenities and then some. The best of both worlds. The beds were most comfortable so that you wanted to spend the day there but you didn't want to miss the...

Wow! OK, you've already read the other reviews. We agree this place is gorgeous. We also found the stay superb! The modernization of such an old property has been done so tastefully it still fits with the era but yet lacks for no modern convenience. But that statement does not do justice. The attention to detail with regard to what...

It was such a pleasure to have you and your wife here at Dunbar House! I, along with my husband, and my staff, were in awe of watching you breathe life into our antique Wilcox & White Pump Organ. Most relaxing vacation in a long time. Rich and Arline were the most personable host ever.Their willingness to mingle with the guest made the stay even more enjoyable. By the way breakfast was absolutely amazing. Thanks and wife and I look forward to our return visit in the near future.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights when we attended the January 2016 "Seeing the Elephants" weekend at the Performing Animals Welfare Association in San Andreas. Innkeepers Arline and Rich are extremely personable and have covered every detail that creates a wonderful stay! Of course, the rooms are immaculately clean. The breakfasts were as good as they come...

There is not an amenity missing at the Dunbar house. So many comfortable details to appreciate. We stayed in the Sequoia Room. The bed was dreamy and the room was beautifully situated. The nice touch of fresh baked goods, in-room coffee, a kindle, a throw blanket, robes ... make it feel like home. We sat on the porch and laid...

We stayed in the Ponderosa room which was quaint, clean, spacious and comfortable. The fantastic prepared breakfasts alone are worth it. Arline was a very congenial host, chatting with us throughout our stay at breakfast and other times. She is very knowledgeable of Murphys and surrounding area. The breakfasts were scrumptious, and the staff was pleasant and professional. We would return to stay if we visi Murphys again.
