Located in Mountain View near Highway 85 and 101, Hotel Avante is a magnificent hotel that caters to Silicon Valley business and pleasure seekers. First and foremost, we chose this hotel for the clean and inviting pool and hot tub. After a long drive, a nice hot tub at the end of the day really marks an adventure. The rooms are modern. The beds were large and comfortable. I also loved the fact that there was a tub/shower combo, which is going away in many hotels. There is also a free breakfast, a small gym and plenty of free parking on the hotel grounds. This hotel is definitely memorable and worth coming back to again!
Avante is our go-to hotel for friends/family our house is too small to accommodate. Always clean, safe, friendly with competent staff. The breakfast has declined in quality apparently because of covid.
This is hotel is getting a bit old and needs to fix their doors, but overall it is a good experience. Good and clean conditions with a great Swimming pool & hot tub. The breakfast could do with a few additional items, but still good overall.
Rey well located and close to numerous restaurants, stores, etc. nice rooms, friendly staff, fabulous free breakfast and great value for money. Fast check-in, great pool, housekeepers made up our room promptly
We love the pool and jacuzzi, They are always clean and ready to use. The Avante is centrally located between Mt. View and Sunnyvale with restaurants in walking distance and close driving distance. In and out just around the corner...
I stayed one night this time. I got upgrade to studio king and it's very comfortable!! Besides, I found that the swimming pool and spa pool is comparatively good. It's not a new property but maintained the pools really good. You won't see any foliage or dirty things inside it. It's pretty good. Other than that, I think the room is pretty good just like my last visit. Clean and things are good. One thing is that the TV system still not able to connect to Netflix or Youtube, but still alright.
Positives: Continental breakfast was excellent- mostly cold but healthy with good variety - oatmeal with good toppings, yogurt, bagels, cold cereal, and fresh watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew melons, and bananas and apples. The pool and hot tub was sunny and clean and great porch furniture with both shade and sun. And plenty of beach towels. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. No problem with temperature even tho it was very hot by bay standards. Window opened and it was quite pleasant. Price was affordable for Stanford graduation weekend. Negatives: As others have said, it is a dated hotel and not as elegant as advertised. It was fine but the photos look nicer than it is. The website promised Rubik's cubes and happy hour and other amenities (not available). They need to lower expectations in their advertising and I probably would have been more satisfied. They were painting in a major walkway while we were there and I felt like I was in their way. And the stairwell smelled strongly of mildew. …
Expect more of a motel level when it was advertised as a boutique hotel. Staffs were nice though but overall maintenance or management was poor I wanted better experience from another hotel for my business trip.
Older Building, more like a budget motel than a Hyatt. Worst breakfast ever, had better at a motel 6. Will never stay again. Don't know how this property has the Hyatt name and claims to be a category 4 property.
These rooms are just old with dated furniture. No breakfast option on site--but you can buy liquor store style snacks. Definitely not worth the price and there are much more modern nicer options nearby.
