We spent a wonderful night with David and interesting other international guests at the Shasta Mountinn Retreat on a recent drive North for the holidays. It was a perfect respite, and David takes wonderful care of his guests — including a thoughtful selection of snacks at all hours and a fabulous breakfast. Can’t imagine a nicer spot to stay and enjoy unobstructed views of Mount Shasta!

Comfortable. Sleep was very quiet and peaceful. Clean, and neatly kept. Hot Tub was nice. The foot massage machine was great. Breakfast was good. For those willing to pay a little more than the minimum hotel prices, this would be a nice place.

This was a spur of the moment trip for me (from San Francisco area). I knew after 2 minutes into the phone conversation, during the booking process, that this was the right place! David, the owner, was very kind on the phone and even more wonderful in person! His partner, Mary, is super nice too. The whole place was fantastic and I met some great fellow travelers. I love how you get immersed in the experience of the bed and breakfast and you are not just crashing in a hotel room. My room had a user friendly fireplace and the coziest bed that was incredibly hard to depart with each morning. I used the hot tub and sauna in complete privacy all 3 nights I was there. Heaven!! Perfect temperature for both of those - they definitely get hot enough and the outdoor setting is lovely. David gave me some great suggestions of what to do and see in the area, which was a godsend, since I had no idea. I never get to eat homemade breakfast, so that was a delight!! The coffee was delicious and I admit to being a complete coffee snob. I did not want to leave. It’s pretty cool I now have a place to get away to when I want to feed my soul! Thank you, David! - MA

We've stayed at the Shasta MountInn Retreat & Spa twice now and plan to make it a regular getaway. With a lovely peekaboo view of the mountain from the back yard to David and Mary's gracious hospitality to the energy of the inn and property, it's quickly become one of our favorite places to visit. The beds are comfortable, the property is quiet and beautiful, and the rooms are lovely. I can't recommend the Inn and its innkeepers highly enough. Stay here. You'll be glad you did.

I love staying here whenever I come to Shasta which is quite a lot. I live in Southern Oregon, an hour and half away.~ David and Mary have become friends and I usually always get "my room" upstairs. ~ It is wonderful for couples as well as solo travelers. ~ The house is immaculate with wonderful and thoughtful amenities.~ David's home made breakfast is fresh and often includes gluten free blueberry pancakes, great coffee, fresh fruit and yogurt, granola,OJ if you like, and often eggs and turkey bacon...He is open to making you whatever you like within reason.~ There is a community kitchen and fridge upstairs with a viewing deck, DVD's,leg massage chairs, games. The grounds are gorgeous, There is a hot tub and sauna and very comfortable seating.~ You can walk into town. David is also a great LMT.~ I have stayed here every season except the dead of winter.~ It is beautiful and comfortable every time.~
