The Cold Creek Inn the only hotel located downtown Mt Shasta. Our clean and comfortable rooms feature hardiplank wood grain floors (no dirty carpets), pillow top mattresses (for a good night sleep), triple sheet covered bedding (cleanest hotel bedding method) and down comforters (just because they feel good). We are a Green Lodging Establishment and use non-toxic cleaners, natural soaps and shampoos and recycled paper products. Other room amenities include: bedside charging station, refrigerator, microwave, HDTV (50+ channels ), free WiFi, pet friendly and complimentary in room organic coffee, tea and hot chocolate.

We have stayed at the Cold Creek Inn three times on our multiple treks from LA to Portland. It is clean, comfortable and super easy to get in and out of with our doggies. We will definitely stay again!!!

We were passing through so spent a couple nights here with our kitty-cat. Staff was nice, all was super clean and the king-size bed was comfy. Very small additional fee for a cat in the room: I think it was $25 Xtra. Train across the street ran through multiple times per day, but didn't bother either of us,plus the hotel provided ear-plugs (free) for those who may need them. We were happy with the choice of this little inn, and would stay again.

It's a very clean, sweet and well located property. it was really convenient as it is located right in the Shasta city and has beautiful spots at walkable distance. Gorgeous view of Shasta mountain form the property

I absolutely loved this adorable freshly renovated (motor lodge) Inn! It’s located at the end of town away from the others on the Main Street. Very clean and quiet but walking distance to several good restaurants. The nearby train goes by occasionally but I loved the sound.

Although I had requested a quiet room, I was given the worst room (28) next to the main road. When I asked for another room, the front desk employee told me that all rooms were full, and it's a first come service. Hard to believe when I noticed someone checking in ten minutes after my arrival. I immediately felt something was wrong with this room, it wasn't level at all. I found out later why (also after reading other bad reviews especially on this room): the city council removed a few trees outside and the roots, which were growing underneath the room, have started to rot causing the floor to slope. Also the heater didn't work properly. I decided to cancel my booking and luckily found another place nearby where I was given a beautiful, lovely room with mountain view. The front desk clerk was friendly though and offered me a refund for my entire stay. I might consider staying at the Cold Creek Inn (it was very clean after all but small and no closet or cabinet to store clothes) only if they can guarantee a room at the (more quiet) office side. Just avoid room 28 at all cost.…

I always enjoy the simple but clean rooms. The ability to have cross breezes with windows on both sides of the room is helpful. Our 2 cats are welcome in the motel's pet rooms, and they are fascinated with sitting in the window seeing people come and go. The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this location too as one can walk to downtown easily.

This was our first visit to Cold Creek Inn, although not our first visit to Mount Shasta. A one-night stopover on a longer trip south. We have stayed in AirBnB properties in Mt. Shasta previously, but those seem to be getting a) hard to find, and b) creeping up in price, like AirBnB’s in general these days. Cold Creek Inn offered just what we needed, a simple night’s stay in a clean and welcoming place. The staff were helpful right from my very first phone call, and found room for us during a very busy week at the Inn. Personal service from friendly locals. We will likely stay here again, next road trip.

With a good location and clean accommodations, Cold Creek Inn is a good choice when exploring the Mt. Shasta area. Close to the downtown with many restaurant choices. Breakfast at the Black Bear Diner is a winner!
