The Shasta Inn offers you the casual elegance one would expect from a rustic boutique hotel with beautifully appointed rooms suites. Best location in town!!! Authentic Texmex restaurant with full service bar completes your experience. Tesla chargers onsite
There's a lot to like about the Shasta Inn, but a few too many negatives. What we liked: -Very clean. -Rooms and exterior are attractive. -Good quality in-room fridge and microwave. -Helpful staff. -Good shower with plenty of hot water. -Good quality beds/mattresses, although we prefer a less firm mattress. -Breakfast go-bag. However, there were several things that made our stay less enjoyable: -Instead of a table and chairs there was a 5' long counter with stools. After 10 minutes, the stools get mighty uncomfortable. -The air conditioner worker well, but it was positioned almost directly behind the counter & stools, blowing directly on us as we sat there. We had to turn it off to avoid freezing. -A circuit breaker tripped while we were microwaving our dinner, causing the microwave and fridge to turn off. We had to hunt down the maintenance person to fix it. -The room lost power for 15 minutes in the middle of the night, causing my husband's CPAP to shut down, waking him up. Bottom line: too much stress for us.…

Nice basic place to stay in Mt. Shasta town - clean, well-appointed rooms, plenty of pillows, friendly staff, partial view of Mt. Shasta out the window. I would stay here again. Pay attention to staff guidance about the stairwells - one is solid and normal, one is old and tricky to navigate with luggage!

The price was right for a convenient location, and the friendly proprietor let me look at the room before booking. It was clean and the vanity outside the bathroom seems to have been updated. Bed comfortable. College ski vibe decor. However, there was a terrible mold or mildew smell. I couldn't tell if it was from the loud window heating unit that comes on and off all night, or from the room itself. The toilet is very old and seems like it's about to overflow, then flushes ok. No heat or fan in the bathroom.

I stayed here to break up my long drive from central Oregon back to California. Shasta is a lovely area. The motel was conveniently located off the main road. Check-in was smooth and I got to my room quickly. Heard live music coming from the restaurant across the street so went over and had a salad and enjoyed the adjacent plant nursery. The room itself is tiny, which is fine since it was just me. It had a musty smell though, like wet wood. Bed was comfy and sheets and towels were all super clean. The shower got to lukewarm temperature, at best, and this was after running it for 5 minutes. Didn't want to waste any more water trying to get it warmer so took a shower in lukewarm water. Never got hot. TV picture was static-y. Ended the evening with a cocktail in the attached restaurant/lounge. Nice employees and great atmosphere. All in all, a good stay.…

My wife, our 2 dogs, and I stayed at Shasta Inn on June 29th, 2022. We were travelling south back down from Washington to Southern California, and we wanted to break up the long drive by staying in Mt. Shasta. The primary reason we stayed at this hotel was because they have Tesla Destination chargers available to guests to charge their Teslas overnight. The room we were given was on the ground floor in one of the "deluxe rooms" with one queen bed. The room was clean, but very small and extremely dated. The furniture, light fixtures, and the TV are are dire need of updating. The room itself was also smaller than expected. Needless to say, we will likely not stay at this hotel in the future should we travel along the I-5 route between British Columbia, Canada and Southern California.…

We decided to stay here as we wanted to stop in Mount Shasta on the way up to Portland. Location was good since there were many restaurants nearby. The cost was higher than I would expect for the size of the room, but it seems cost for most places this summer has been hiked up. The room was somewhat tight, but did have a microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, small round table with two chairs. The bed was comfortable (decent support without being too hard or soft). The pillows were small, though, so bring your own if you can. The TV was decent sized and you can hook up your Firestick if you want flexibility in shows to watch. The bathroom was to be expected; shower pressure was okay. The AC was pretty loud and it was hard to keep the temperature consistent as it would turn on and off throughout the night. All in all, it was a fine place to stay overnight. Pros; microwave and fridge in room, decent TV, location Cons; price, loud and inconsistent AC …

We only stayed for a night as we passed through, but the rooms were somewhat tired; we had a ground floor one and it was a bit "dank" when we went it, like there wasn't enough ventilation. Neither of us slept very well that night as the bed was not that comfortable and ambient noise from other guests upstairs was disruptive. For the price, it was a bit disappointing (market forces I suppose, but still). The silver lining is the restaurant, which was actually really good. Staff were friendly and service was excellent, food was very tasty. My only hope is that in future it would be possible to get more ventilation into the space while the pandemic drags on.

This is a stunningly beautiful property located in the heart of nature. The rooms are well spaced out, very clean, well furnished, and comfortable, Breakfast is served to the room and is pretty good. The innkeepers, Rit and Burt, are friendly and a repository of local knowledge. Our room was the Pinecone Treehouse, built on stilts and we loved it.

I thought this little motel was excellent. Comfy bed, hot shower and perfect room temp. Little amenities like a microwave and fridge make it even better for the price. When we arrived, we were a little confused by the check in instructions as we were after hours but the “emergency line” helped us find our room :) Turned out, they left us a detailed voicemail with instructions but we didn’t get it until later. All in all, a lovely stop and I would definitely stay here again!

Just an average motel nothing more. Booked and upon arrival was told no lounge or restaurant, not what they advertise online. OK for an overnight. Would not stay for more than one night. Room is clean, outdated by decades. Bathroom is very small, sink outside the bathroom.
