Discovered this gem on a road trip and wish we could have stayed longer. Comfortable, cozy and clean. We did take-out from the restaurant and it was great - plenty of dishes in the well-equipped kitchen. Lake view from our balcony and easy access to a pretty forest path through the pines. Classic.

We stayed two nights here in a very nice and large cabin. It had a great balcony overlooking a portion of the lake (It's really only a small and narrow inlet of the lake but it is water) a full kitchen and large sitting area. The fireplace was nice. The kitchen was great. It was fully stocked and we cooked both nights here rather than eating out. The pans were very nice and cleaned up easy. The hike around the lake can be easily accessed from the balcony of the cabin and it is a great, easy walk of 7.5 miles all the way around with great views of Mount Shasta and the surrounding area. We couldn't have been happier with the place and highly recommend it if you are planning any trips to the area. The only bummer was that the Mt Shasta National Park was closed due to COVID and the wildfire dangers. Not sure how hiking around the forest and the mountain has anything to do with COVID. I did notice that all the staff with whom I interacted were wearing masks.

This is our 2nd stay here, the last being about 12 years ago, It was just as wonderful as before. These are completely equipped units with full kitchens (except for a dishwasher), a gas fireplace, dining table, and a comfortable bed in an area that can be closed off. We were in unit 114 which had a very good view of the lake (113 would also). Although these units are duplexes, we never heard a sound from the other room. Also the good sized decks are laid out such that they are out of view of the other unit. This was an outstanding stay and we can't wait to return.

Even the receptionist was not wearing a mask. It’s fine but they were not transparent when I asked about this on the phone. Policy said you need a mask indoors but there was no accountability. Area is pretty. Room was near a noisy street.

The cabin was next to the lake, but behind a hill, so there was no view of the lake. We were told we had to check out an hour early "for cleaning", but our room was not clean, with coffee from the prior customer still in the coffee pot. The room was very large, with good wi-fi and a comfortable bed. To get to the lake to swim in it, it is necessary to walk quite a way around the lake, near where the pedestrian bridge crosses it. The cabin is a short drive from registration, where there is also a restaurant. Be aware that the snack bar closes by 2 P.M. The view of Mt. Shasta from the golf course is beautiful.
