My wife and I went for a little weekender to the Seal Cove Inn in Half Moon Bay and absolutely loved it. What a wonderful and peaceful setting with very nice gardens surrounding the back of the building. The staff was so friendly to give us a little tour and set us up with real firewood for our little fireplace.... More

A lovely inn, a decent value for the money. Clean, spacious room looking out over a beautiful garden - we awoke to watch the quail and hummingbirds skittering about. Didn't use the fireplace, but we will next time! The breakfast was healthful and tasty. Free bottle of wine a nice touch. Within walking distance are lovely tide pools, easy trails,... More

Spent the first four days of our holiday at Seal Cove Inn and it was wonderful! After our long flight from UK it was short drive and we were soon immersed in the peace and quiet of the inn. The breakfasts are excellent and the beds so comfortable. We wandered the gardens and down to Seal Cove and just relaxed... More

We loved this place. They have really beautiful gardens at the back, and our room was huge. We liked the way they didn't clutter it up with furniture, but it had everything you need, including a desk, a sofa and a fireplace, while still seeming spacious - and a view of the gardens. We made use of the fireplace too,... More

We made a last-minute reservation and stayed here with our two small children. The staff was extremely friendly and accomodating and the kids were given adorable trundle beds with Disney sheets that they just loved! The interior of the resort is clean and charming and the location is just a very short walk to the beach. All in all, this... More

You can't beat the location and nearby ocean view walks under the cypress trees. As you drive up to the Inn it looks like something out of a Conde Nast 10 best Inns of the world - quite breath taking. The outdoor patio and garden area look like something from an Italian Villa. The lobby and adjacent lounge are very... More

Loved the large pet friendly room, the quality of furnishings and linens, and the bountiful afternoon tea. A little pricey if you don't get the weekday or last-minute specials, found on the website. Good place to stay if you want to do day trips in Half Moon Bay. Front-desk staff during check-in was a bit unenthusiastic / less than friendly,... More

We ended up here in October of 2009 after planning a longer stay in San Francisco at the end of a week long trip from the east coast that included Yosemite and Monterey. We decided to "detour" one night here as hotel prices in SF were crazy expensive on our particular dates due to several conferences in town that weekend.... More

Stayed here for one night on or californian road trip. The inn looks jut like the pictures and is charming. The room was clean and comfortable and loved having the fireplace. The afternoon snacks were ok but was very disappointed in the quality of the breakfast. The hot food was dried up and looked like it had been lying around... More

This was our third stay at Seal Cove Inn. The Inn was designed and built as a luxury Inn by famed travel writer Karen Brown and her husband. They sold the Inn a few years ago and the new owners wisely hired the Fours Sisters group to manage it. Great choice and the service doesn't skip a beat. The location... More

Just 23 miles south of San Francisco, this serene hideaway is spectacularly set amongst a meadow of wildflowers and bordered by towering cypress trees.
