This room was great. Comfortable king size bed, in-room gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub, allows pets for an extra fee. Clean with a park right next door to walk the dog and close to Morro beach. Only sidebar was the small refrigerator froze everything so keep your things on the bottom shelf and the shower pressure is a bit low but tolerable.

The location of this hotel is great; the rooms are basic but clean.

Other people had to go to the front desk to obtain the extra blanket that was supposed to be in the room. I was third in line, to obtain a hair dryer - which I got after about 10 minutes of searching for one, but with instructions not to use it on anything but the low setting.

My problem with this hotel is the booking process. I am not an inexperienced traveller, and I was on the hotel's website, but during the booking process was redirected to hotelvalues.com My room charges were high for this type of hotel, but I expected them because of the high demand due to the Cal Poly SLO graduation. I did NOT expect to pay Tax Recovery Charges & Service Fees the equivalent of a third room night! In total I paid more than $1,000 for two nights...payment in full at the time of booking, no refunds.

I thought the hotel was getting scammed so advised the guy at the front desk, but he only asked me to send an email to his manager, and when asked he would not provide me with the manager's name, just the email address. Upon check out I asked for a copy of my folio and all line items just said "Prepaid"...when I asked for a detailed breakdown, I was told to get it from booking.com

The hotel was very easy to find. The grounds were clean and well lit. We had a family suite which was very clean and accommodating. Bathrooms were clean and the view of Morro Rock was incredible. The TVs had timers which was annoying because they kept going off every 40 minutes or so. The beach was within walking distance. We will definitely come back.

If I could give no stars I would! Booked a room through booking.com for the price of $353. Upon entering the room I noticed the room definitely did not meet standards.
Not only was there black mold on the walls, but the mini fridge was absolutely disgusting. Clearly cleanliness is highly disregarded! I spoke with a woman at the front desk and explained to her the severity of the situation and she offered no solution other then an email address, I was to send my complaint to. I explained to her I wanted a full refund for the room due to the fact that I would be no longer be staying at an establishment that so obviously disregards any type of cleanliness and proper sanitation protocols. She refused to give me a refund and told me to contact booking.com, because the room was booked through them there was nothing she could do. I asked for managements name she wouldn't give it to me, I asked for her name she wouldn't give it to me.
I call booking.com to file a complaint and try to get a refund and was told that the hotel denied the dispute and there was nothing they can do as far as taking care of the refund. If booking.com does business with theses types of establishments they should share some form of responsibility when it comes to customer complaints. Especially when sending over proof of the matter. The health department needs to come out and do a thorough inspection on this nasty place!

Upon checking into the hotel I mistakenly rang the night bell because there's no clear direction for check in.
This really irritated the owner and he was sure to let me know. I assumed he was the owner . He told me I had a fireplace and jetted tub but someone stole the damn plug.
I thought he would buy one as we were there for 3 nights but nope. He also told me that he was leaving at 9PM that night and the office would be closed so basically don't lock yourself out or your screwed.
The court yard is very cute but its obvious they are renovating around the hotel. The garbage cans were full on the first day and when we left.
Our room was cute and newly renovated but there was absolutely no water pressure it was barely a trickle. We had a fridge and coffeemaker microwave which was great. There is a balcony on the back but there's no view of anything other than the motel 6 behind us. That was also a problem because the lights from that hotel shined through the shutters which made it hard to sleep.
The room was clean for the most part the drawer next to the bed had stuff in it and there was old soap in the shower. The pluses of this room was the fireplace and the large shower and tub and the room is tucked into the far corner which was more private. There is also a hot tub but I never got back to the hotel when it was open. It would be nice if some sort of breakfast was offered.
I think the strangest thing of all was the last night we were there it was as if the maids just abandoned ship. The laundry bags were left out all day and night. The maintenance room and a hotel room was open all night and still that way when we left. It's very clear there is not an owner or manager that seems to care or check on things. My husband was told by the owner he would get propane for the fire pit in the court yard and that never happened either. Seems like there's steps they are taking to renovate but there really seems like the owner doesn't care and needs an attitude adjustment. Still needs a lot of improvement, I don't think I'd stay again.

A nightmare in every sense! I had booked two rooms a week in advance via booking.com. When we got there, I realized that they overcharged us by $4 per room. I asked the front desk staff what the extra charge was for. She said that she didn't know, so I showed her the breakdown I had from my booking email. Considering that our kids were waiting in the car, I told the lady that I would go ahead and sign the amount they were requesting, and then I would call the booking site with my complaint. She said that I was being uncooperative and that she wouldn't want to deal with the review since this was business. She said that she wouldn't be checking us in! When I called booking.com, they called the hotel and explained to me that the extra charge was for bottled water that we hadn't requested, made aware of, or needed! The hotel said that they couldn't check us in without agreeing to pay the extra $$ for water. Booking.com relocated us to another hotel. This was at 2 PM. At 7 PM, the same lady called me and said that they would honor the original charge and that my rooms were ready. I took a deep breath and told her that we had been relocated! To my horror, the hotel went ahead and charged my card. I started this back and forth chat with my credit card company, who referred me to booking.com. In the end, booking.com did the right thing by offering to refund the money I paid for a hotel that refused to check me in. I'm still dizzy from wondering how a hotel can be allowed to do this.

I’m an avid traveler; so when I saw some of the negative reviews of Moro shores inn, I took it with a grain of salt. I can handle short clerks and I can have dive motels. Trust me when I tell you DO NOT book this hotel. This hotel was a hellish, awful experience. Here is my story, I hope it can save some from the grief I experianced

I booked an ADA room for 10 days. My disability isn’t an obvious one, I have trouble with balance, and have flares that make it very difficult for me to walk and makes me more likely to fall. I was staying alone on this trip, so I needed some of the features of the ADA room. The hotel charged me, gave me keys to the room. As I was unloading our luggage, the clerk comes out and tells me she has to move me, that they had overbooked. She attempted to put me in an upstairs room. I did eventually get a downstairs room, but as you can see from the photos it was not in good condition. The bed had a lump in it, the lamps have stains, the floor was dirty and very slick in the bathroom when wet.. On the second night, my bed started to sag to the point it was too uncomfortable to stay in the room. I ended up moving into the Motel 6 next door on foot.

I had booking.com reach out to the hotel, and they repeatably refused to refund me for the remaining nights of the stay. They verbally agreed to refund me to my partner but later told booking.com that they could not accommodate my request. This hotel is discriminatory, and frankly a pig with lipstick. If you choose to stay here, please do a better inspection of the room than I did. Please do not support this establishment

Really nice spot, great location (at intersection of 41 and 1), clean and everything. Only issue is they scam you on the price and over charge.

We were staying at the Morro Dunes RV park with my younger kids and we arrived early in the day while my wife was getting our older son to take her after her shift at the hospital ended at 7pm. She reserved two nights @ $67/night online week or two prior to our trip in February 2022. We stayed their before and thought the price was great. Because the office closes at 10pm or so I had to get the room. So I did and got charge $207 total which I assumed carried a deposit of $50. I didn’t think anything of it since many hotels charge deposits. After our trip ended and we got home my credit card charge cleared and it was not a deposit. My wife called in to clear up the situation and got the run around. Unfortunately, they are liars and scam you on the price, stay at the Motel 6 next door.

It was the perfect place to stay, centrally located and walking distance to the beach. Plenty of space in the room to accommodate young kids without feeling "trapped" hahaha
The kids absolutely loved it, it's always a fun thing for.them to stay somewhere. It's a place we will gladly stay again.
