At the outset, please note this review only involves first changing and then having to cancel a reservation at this property. Initial plans were to stay three nights then travel to Ventura for another two. I then decided to cancel the Ventura piece and add one night in Morro Bay. The website didn't show availability for my room type on...

We came late but there was no problem with check in (we did not have reservation there). Staff was very kind and friendly. Room was clean, nicely furnished and comfortable. Basic breakfest included in price, available parking. We stayed there only one night but felt very nice served and enjoyed sleeping there.

We booked this motel because we just needed a place to sleep after a day traveling from SF by the Pacific Coast Highway. That is my first advice: book it! The motel was full, and Morro Bay is a small city, there aren't so many options of places to sleep. The room was not ready when we arrived, and I...

We rented three rooms for several nights. We made the reservations a few months in advance (based on trip advisor ratings, thank you so much!), and when we called to extend the stay on a few rooms they handled that fine. I want to stress here, it's not a fancy motel, it's basic. The less I pay the longer I can...

Stayed here overnight on a road trip to San Francisco. Motel is clean, beds are comfortable, friendly owner. Carpets could use some cleaning, carpets had a moldy smell. Good location, close to the waterfront.

Clean room, but the reception staff not very helpful, the person at the reception, would't give us a little bit of butter or margarine to spread on our bread for breakfast. The breakfast was very simple and full of sugar! Sort of muffins, orange juice, milk, sweet cereal, so please if you need breakfast go to the supermarket for the...

Well the hotel is not bad not good. Just good enough for a overnight stopover. The room and bathroom are clean but really lack any character. The WiFi is free but almost non existent. Morro Bay is a quaint town to stop while visiting Hearst Castle and the hotel is good value for money to sleep one night. But no...

My girlfriend and I needed somewhere to stay on our travels between LA and San Fran. Morro bay seemed like an idyllic little water-front city, ideal for a stopover. Coming from a long distance with many stops along the way, the owner Mihir was kind enough to accommodate our late arrival. The rooms were clean and comfortable with clear views...

My room was spotless. The staff, from the front desk to the cleaning lady, were wonderful. The view (other than the tree in the way) was perfect. I have only two TINY complaints. First, the block north of the motel (heading into downtown) did not have sidewalks, and the street that ran west by the place did not go to...

The SandPiper Inn is in a great location just a couple of blocks from the waterfront. It was very pleasant to take a leisurely stroll down to the ocean to watch the sunset. Check in was easy and quick with very pleasant service. The rooms are standard motel rooms but are comfortable, quiet and everything functioned well. I would certainly...
