Found the Front Street Inn and Spa a few years ago. This was our 3rd of 4th visit. What 1st attracted us was the location just across the street from the marina. The downstairs bakery makes running out for breakfast as easy as it gets. More importantly, the room is so cozy with a comfortable couch facing out to a wondaful view of the waterfront. One of the few places we have stayed where you don't feel trapped in the room. I can stay all day just people and boat watching while reading a good book. This really came in handy this trip as we had 2 days of straight rain and going out wasn't an option. I didn't mind at all. The room is cozy, comfortable, clean, and the fireplace makes for a cozy feel. Not super fancy, but just right.
The room was clean. The host was great. The views were fantastic! We were able to walk everywhere. Restaurants were plenty with a bakery directly below which my husband really enjoyed. Was a much needed rest and relaxing couple days after a very hectic holiday season.
We had the "Hide away" suite. It was wonderful, Fantastic view, really comfy bed, wonderful smells from the bakery each morning to wake up to! We had our own private entrance from the street. Val was a wonderful host. I would highly recommend her establishment. We plan on being back in a could of months to see our son.
This was such a good place, I hesitate to mention it - I want to be able to return soon! The location was perfect, the room was a dream, and Val was a wonderful hostess. Everything including otter/wildlife sitings, food, doable walks and hikes, shopping are within easy walking distance. Our car stayed parked (free!) much of the time. Especially loved getting breakfast at the bakery downstairs and bringing it back to our room, which has huge casement windows overlooking the bay, then going for a walk, getting something to go and then back to our cozy room. I also got a 90-minute massage from therapist Anne (great value!) - a great start to a very memorable and relaxing vacation.
Was on vacation in area with some family. We first went for breakfast, which was amazing and the service was outstanding. We followed that up with mineral hot springs and massages. What a way to start your day!!!!! Would love to return and stay at the Inn.
