I can’t recommend booking a room at Holland Inn as our experience led us to leave & find another room in Morro Bay. When we arrived to check in we were advised that we would need to be shown the room by his wife before he checked us in. Confused, we were led out of the motel, down the road to a separate one storey building where we were shown into a small room with a sofa bed. Only a sofa bed, no other furniture or TV at all & was advised that we might be able to access the motel WiFi if it reaches. As you can imagine, was not what we booked. For $59 we didn’t expect a lot, but an actual bed with TV & WiFi in the hotel we booked at was a minimum expectation. Back at the check in desk we advised that we didn’t what to take the room & where told there were no other rooms available. We left to find another motel in the bay.…
Friendly staff at front desk. Older construction but the room was clean. Stayed only one night. The area was quiet. Basic motel good when you need a cheaper place to stay for one night or two. Had a good stay.
Sorry, can’t give a really thorough review because this hotel shuttled us along down the road nearly the moment we walked in. At first, the owner tried to get us to believe that we had booked a one-bed room (we absolutely had not), and upon our presentation of the order confirmation that proved so, he told us that they had a “problem with the room”, and had to relocate us to his “other hotel”— the Beachwalker in Cayucos. So, essentially, we were sent up the 1 to another hotel, this one with nothing remotely resembling beach access like the Holland had promised, and located in a much smaller town with much less to do than Morro Bay. We felt as though we had definitely been caught up in some kind of bait-and-switch scheme with this family trying to divert business to more of their hotels. Disappointed.…
Arrived on a Fri. web site said free cancellations and no charge until you get there. The Hotel was in a bad location and it smelled, we did not stay there. On Sun. they charge my card and did not disclose they were going to do that! To make matters worse they overcharged us from the original price. This is fraud and I am going to report them to the better business bureau.
This was not a good choice. The welcome was cold and indifferent, the room had seen better days and the whole atmosphere sour and depressing. You can do much better for the same money elsewhere in the vicinity.
