This motel was formally known as The Breakers which we loved. This the new improved motel, all the rooms have been completely remodeled. Can't beat the location. check-in was easy and fast. We will be back! Parking spaces are a bit tight.
Stayed one night in September 2020 as quick get away from home. Manager very helpful. Room renovated, electric fireplace heated room well, nice glass shower, small refrigerator and microwave. Location very convenient up the hill from water and the rock. Beautiful sunset that night.
My daughter and her family I stayed at the Landing and insisted on us staying there on our way back up the road. Her daughter wouldn't go into the room because she was so fascinated by the Rock, standing forever on the balcony. I stayed there two times after that, driving up and down the coast, because it was immaculate and comfortable, and close to great restaurants. We were able to order our meals and just walk across the street to pick them up. All three of our stays were perfect. Renovated and simple, but they have an awesome espresso machine in the lobby, perfect for that quick coffee on the run. I'm a bit of a fussy one, but The Landing met all my requirements.
We only stayed for one night passing through to So CA and our stay was excellent. We stayed at room 111 which is Not part of the main building, is attached to the office. The room had been entirely renovated and decorated in a stylish and efficient manner. The room was impeccable, clean, and modern. Equipped with everything you need including a great electric fireplace that worked wonders. Bathroom was not only beautiful, but also impeccable. It was more of a studio set up than just a room. The property is a block from Market street (away from the noise and lights), perched up above with a great view of the Rock, the bay, and sunset experience. If you don't want to get hit with a surprising $15 extra fee do Not book via Expedia/etc. but go directly to their website. Great stay and plan to return next time we pass through Morro Bay, a great spot to spend the day/night on your travels up and down the coast.…
My sister and I decided to take my mom, who is 91 years of age, on a short trip to the coast. We decided to stay at “The Landing at Morro Bay,” and we are so glad we did. It is situated perfectly within walking distance around the MORRO ROCK, where we could walk and visit the local shops and eateries. One of our favorite shops we visited was the GARDEN GALLERY where we purchased plants to bring home. But the “LANDING” itself offered us something even more valuable, which made our stay all the more comfortable ... an ADA approved private suite. It was one of the best rooms we’ve ever rented while traveling with our elder able-challenged mother. The room is quite spacious with an entry ramp for wheelchair or walker ease. The bathroom is quite a gift for the able-challenged because I was able to wheel in my mother and sit her on a built in drop chair for a shower. The shower head drops to the level needed for the height of the individual. It has two beds that were quite comfortable and a television that is wall mounted and out of the way. Also, great counter space and shelving with a mini fridge & microwave. A very nice open closet with high and low hanging rods & a dresser with plenty of space to organize your clothes. There were two small love seat sized couches as well, we didn’t see if one turned into another bed, but my sister thought it looked like it did. Overall, if your traveling with a loved one that is able challenged ... make “THE LANDING at MORRO BAY” your go to place to stay. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. All the staff is friendly and professional. If my mom wants to take another trip to the coast this is where we plan to stay again. Thank you.…
