Stayed here for 1 night. The room is spacious and clean. The motel is in a very good location just a few blocks from the waterfront. If I ever visit Morro Bay I will definitely stay at this motel again plus it is family owned which I love supporting!
Unfortunately, the service has gone down here. Rooms are not cleaned well, bathrooms need lots of cleaning/repairs, no microwave, and the worst was that they did not come into service our room at all during our 2 night stay. Will not stay here again.
Last minute reservation, the reviews were pretty good.. the pics were nice and gourmet style breakfast.?? Maybe maybe not but they got thumbs up. So I gave it a whirl and we were able to get a room, my sister in law had made reservations from So Cal in Pismo. We always end up going to MB and points north of there. Not realizing it was Memorial Weekend. So we all ended up staying in MB. It was nice quiet the first nite, second nite not so much. No fault of hotel, I just wish we could’ve complained. There was no one to complain to, being the social distancing requirements. They adhered to a “no contact” business rules. We didn’t get breakfast 🥞 🍳 ☕️ which we were all looking forward to, again C-19 was the culprit. I wished I’d known but really I guess I would’ve probably still stayed here. Updated motel - hotel holiday inn lol, clean comfy beds. Small but it worked out. We stayed in a queen deluxe. The girl who welcomed us was very accommodating and switched rooms for my in laws, so they wouldn’t have to stay by the Bikers... lol. Thumbs up for us. Small view of the Rock.…
Really liked them, will be back, but to get a 5 don't mess up the details. Stayed two nights, liked the delivered breakfasts, but..2nd day they misplaced our order, hour late, then ran out of options ordered...happens. Nicely redone , retro 60's motor court vibe, great price and location. Walking distance to local restaurants, or short drive to anywhere in town. A little deferred maintenance on bath fixtures, rusty...needs a shot of TLC. Otherwise a strong contender for a beach stay.
First of all, great staff at this hotel with excellent rates. Very accommodating and hotel (actually a motel) very central to Morro Bay and the waterfront. Breakfasts were included and delivered to your room - excellent. The areas for improvement: some rooms have very little heat and remain quite cold despite area heaters (in addition to the gas fireplaces). No rugs on floors so bring your slippers. Great lighting for reading. Walls are paper thin and if you have neighbors, you will hear just about everything (again, this may depend on the room). Bring earplugs!! Housekeeping mostly ok other than a pair of underwear missed hanging on the door of the bathroom when I checked in (kind of gross). But, I would stay here again but request a quiet, warm room.
