Very clean, well appointed room with great views of Morro Bay, sea otters, sea lions and birds. A bottle of sparkling wine was gifted us upon check in, along with chocolates and special Anniversary wishes. Loved the daily towel creatures! And the fireplace was welcome on cool mornings and evenings. Easy walk to many restaurants and shops.
Conner and the rest of the staff at the Estero were so wonderful. I didn't know where to stay in Morro Bay but after I spoke to Conner and he was so enjoyable on the phone it made my choice easy to stay at the Estero. I was so glad I did. Me, my husband and 2 teenage daughters had a lovely time. Thank you!
My first visit to Morro Bay and I couldn't imagine a better place to stay. Estero Inn is right on the water, not a block or two up the hill like some hotels. Step outside your room to have a glass of wine by the water! It is at the far north end of the busy Embarcadero tourist strip, so it is not in the heart of the noise and bustle and thus is relatively quiet. Yet you are only one or two blocks' walk from restaurants, bars, and shops. There is a kayak and electric boat rental company in the hotel building that offers discounts to guests. (Note: We were there during the off season, so everything was quieter than during the summer.) Our room was clean, up to date, and well-appointed with a very comfy (firm) mattress, four very fluffy pillows, fleece bathrobes, AC, microwave, and fridge. Good reading lights by the bed and overhead lights. The fellow who greeted us at reception was friendly and informative.…
Right on the water in a simple, quiet and well-thought-out hotel. We stayed here for a week in the Ocean View suite and enjoyed our stay very much. First and foremost is the location which is right on Morro Bay; we could sit at the sliding door of our room or on any of the available decks and watch wildlife--otters, birds, seals. Each room is very well insulated from the adjacent rooms and the property is well cared for. The windows are clear despite the salt air that quickly clouds glass near the ocean. The bathtub is wide, long and luxurious. Bath soap, shampoo and conditioner are dispensed in big containers so no single-use plastic there but they do use Keurig and those cups are ridiculously wasteful. We used them anyway, of course, and enjoyed the varieties of Stash teas. An electric kettle is provided to heat water--that is a big plus for a tea drinker. It would be nice to have code lock access to the coffee and tea "dining" area which is locked daily 8pm-8am. There are many places to sit outdoors at this hotel and they've built in wind protection which is always helpful next to the ocean. Easy walking distance to everything. We used the fireplace most evenings. we loved the small hotel and would highly recommend…
Nice room, good amenities. Good selection of beverages. Only problem at all was that the tub/shower height is pretty tall and hard for an older or shorter person to get in and out of. Overall it’s a plus. Everything is close enough to walk to, with many shops and restaurants.
This was our second stay here and we love it. This time we stayed in the Bay View Suite and it was gorgeous!! The room is exactly what you see in the pictures and then some. I could have spent the whole trip just staring out the window or sitting on the balcony. We were able to check in early and the staff is incredibly nice. Housekeeping left us the most adorable towel animals!!
This just may be my most favorite hotel I have stayed in. I have brought my family of 5 here twice and stayed both times in the Marine Room. The views are stunning! The property is immaculate, well appointed, and the attention to detail is fabulous. The price point cannot be beat for the location, experience, and services rendered. John and Leah make the place extra special with their exemplary customer service. I want to thank John and Leah for making our stay so comfortable and to the owners who clearly put a lot of care and love into this property.
We stayed in the Ocean View room which had its own balcony with the beautiful view of Morro Rock and the bay. Room was a little tight with a king bed and a large sofa but very clean and comfortable . I loved the location next to a park with a beautiful view of the pier with all the boats . It was relaxing to walk on this waterfront… I liked that Estero Inn gave their recommendations of favorite restaurants and activities in Morro Bay . We liked Dorn’s Breakers Cafe . Staff was friendly , loved our room and location of Inn - we will be back !!
We were able to check in early at Estero Inn at about 12:30 pm, in the Bay View room--the last room that was available on short notice on a Saturday night. The very clean room had a porch facing the Bay and a gas fireplace. We sat at the table by the window on the Bay and watched the sun go down while having wine and cheese and the complimenetary bottle of champagne. We asked the man at the reception desk about knives, and he brought knives to us right away. Check out was easy and smooth. We are grateful that Estero Inn's efficient and caring owners are now also owners of the Anderson Inn--Morro Bay's two premier boutique hotels.
We were on our great Californian Roadtrip up the coast and this was a perfect stop. We loved Morro Bay and we loved the Estero Inn. Romantic and beautifully situated right on the water. We were in the Kelp Suite. Beautiful. The front desk was friendly. We rented beach bikes next door. Morro Bay was beautiful. Good walking and biking. It was quiet, especially on weekday mornings in October. It’s a true fishing village with a fleet of charters and commercial fishing boats docked. Lots of seals in the bay. This was a great stop on our adventure.
