I have been staying at the Comfort Inn in Monterey for years for business and leisure.
I spent one week at the Comfort Inn in September and the customer service was great! After a very long travel day Felicia went out of her way and above the call of duty to make sure my room was to my liking and to see if she could do anything for me.
Customer service does go along way and the staff at this Comfort Inn have always been helpful. This Comfort Inn is 10 minutes from Carmel, five minutes from downtown Monterey, two blocks from the nearest Starbucks and less than five minutes from Seaside Beach it is also close to all the great seafood restaurants in Carmel, Monterey and Seaside. It took me less than five minutes to go to the beach every day in Monterey.
My room was great where can you get a room with a queen bed for $77.00 a night during the week during September in high season? Also I would highly recommend going on the Whale Watching sight seeing trips during the week only. I was told they usually have maybe two people on the boat during the week due to Covid Monterey is not getting the International or national tourist. Take advantage of this year of Covid with all the great deals during the week ONLY the week-ends the room prices go up and the town is packed with tourist.

Great location and price/quality ratio. We stayed with family, in 2 rooms, for 2 nights. Very good size and cleanliness of the rooms, as well as their very comfortable beds. Although they do not serve breakfast, they have a rich coffee and hot chocolate, which added to something you may have bought, serves as breakfast to face the day. Super friendly staff. The atmosphere very nice, beautiful at night with its lights and plants. I recommend it without hesitation!!

Seemed like a good deal on Expedia until we arrived. Check in girl made clear we would be charged for parking solely because we booked online. Really lame snarky girl. Their website lists “complimentary parking” as one of the “top reasons” of staying there, lol. And Expedia prominently states price “includes all fees and taxes.” It is businesses like this that ruin life for everyone.

Thank you for taking the time to rate and review your experience as our guest JohnnyLawless. We are sorry you did not have a stellar experience during your stay. We do charge $10 per day for parking for reservations not made on our website. I am sorry that was missed during your reservation process. We hope everything else was great during your visit. Thank you for being our guest.

I stayed here for one night on my way somewhere. Mangy little motel, mostly clean but dated and half the stuff in the room was broken. Air conditioner broken. Microwave broken. Coffee maker broken AND there's no one in the hotel lobby until 730am where they said there is other coffee. So I'm continuing on my way after a night in a stiff but lumpy bed with no coffee. Note that if you book via a third party site they charge you $10 a night for parking.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our visit to this hotel. I loved the neon blue lighting at the front of the property which relates to the hotel's name. Michellee at the front desk was friendly and informative. We parked right in front of our room which we loved. The furniture looked new and everything freshly painted. I loved having the hardwood floors. The microwave and refrigerator are always appreciated. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable. I think the location is excellent for Fairgrounds events and also all of the other attractions on the Monterey Peninsula. I think this would be a great hotel for anyone doing business in the area. Highly recommended!

I was initially booked to stay in their sister hotel (The Inn at 1252 Monterey) for 2 nights but due to a major power cut I was offered this hotel instead. I hadn’t realised at the time of booking that The Inn was a Motel and not a Hotel. They very kindly allowed me to look around the motel room before I made a decision. The room was fairly clean (apart from a long hair in the bed I found later that night) and had a fridge & microwave. There was also a digital safe and I believe an iron. Unfortunately the next morning this motel also had a power cut so I had to cut my trip short. The male receptionists were extremely helpful and assisted me with booking another hotel in San Jose. The motel is on the flight path from Monterey Airport and the planes are very close. I’m a light sleeper and for some reason I didn’t even notice the noise until I was outside the unit. Although I didn’t get the full experience of this motel from what I saw I would probably stay here again if needed. The price was also good value for money in my opinion.

Thank you for being so flexible and understanding of the power issues the city of Monterey experienced. We know it was very inconvenient for our guests. We appreciate your kind compliments of our property and staff. We hope you will give Monterey another try! We hope San Jose was nicer to you!

This hotel started out with very poor customer service. The Owner/Manager definitely lacked personality as he was quite rude from the start. I traveled all night into morning from the East Coast and needed to use the rest room. I was told my room was ready but that I had to pay $51 for early check in. Every hotel should be required to have a rest room in the lobby. At this point I had no choice. After settling in I took a shower and the tub was clogged so I had water coming up way past my ankles and it wouldn't go down. They came to fix it but left all the nasty black stuff in the tub and on the floor without cleaning it up. In addition, they do not clean the rooms and if you need towels you have to go to the front desk.
At check out I asked if I could leave my car for a few minutes to get something to eat and he flatly said no. Check out means out.
This was my first time and definitely will be the last time staying here.

We are very upset to read about this experience as our guest Ereggae, on TripAdvisor as well as Yelp. Please accept my apologies for the interactions you had with our front desk member upon arrival as well as during your check-out. That is definitely not the way we want any guest to start off their visit with us, nor the last impression we want to leave. I will personally make sure your issues are addressed with your guest room and staff training. We wish you the very best in your future travels.

I was royally impressed with this hotel. For the price and location I was not expecting much. The hotel had nice shaped trees which showed some extra attention. The room was very clean, wood panel floors that were well maintained, a nice work desk, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and safe for storage of valuables. About an hour after I checked in the front desk called to see if everything was satisfactory in the room. I did run out of coffee during my stay and the front desk was pleased to give me as many replacement coffee packs and cups as I wanted. It was also very well located as it was close to the airport, Pebble Beach golf course, the aquarium and Fisherman's Warf. I will definitively there again.

Currently staying here and definitely would not recommend.
Very thin walls, and lots of airport noise. Rooms are only cleaned every 3 days, so you have to take out your own garbage, make your bed, trade your towels in every day...not what I go on vacation to do.
Breakfast was advertised, but they do not actually offer it.
