The positive about this stay was the front desk person was nice. That said the room was awful. It had a strong fragrance. That I am sure was just to cover up something. The wall as you walk into the bathroom had drips down it. As if coffee or something splashed and was never cleaned. There was dried paint on... More

Like most hotels in Monterey, it is overpriced for what it is. We can see the owners tried to do something with this old motel, but we are far from luxury here. The furnitures are more than worned and needs some fixing. Forget about the breakfast. It is 3 buckets of cereals with milk and that is about it. That... More

I booked four rooms at this hotel for our extended-family trip with three other couples along California coast. Reading some of the reviews, I was not sure if all four rooms would be to our liking. After checking into the rooms, all four rooms exceeded our expectations. Both king size and double rooms were clean, nicely furnished and with lots... More

i was skeptical about picking this hotel due to the reviews being so negative , i decided to give it a go for the best value ... When arrived , i was speechless . I just didnt understand why this place was horribly non recommended . It is so much more charming and beautiful than the pictures , in person... More

Awful. Lady at reception told us nothing, just handed our keys. When we found out what time breakfast was it was non existent, not even headboards on the beds, view from bedroom was just trash everywhere. Room smelt funky upon arrival, worst hotel we've stayed in. Definitely not worth the prices they are asking for!!

The room was billed as a queen bed with a sofa bed pull out. It was a futon. Pool was dirty, breakfast was awful, walls are dirty and need paint. No elevator. Bathroom was clean, newer carpets and bedding. It got us through the night, but was glad to check out. A bit pricey for an old motel.

I just expected a nice bed and a good breakfast to keep moving. It was just a comfy bed but that's it. The breakfast is not such a thing. It is only a coffee room. Still was the cheapest place around the area...

This place is nice but nothing fancy. I expected a bit more for the price we paid. Some decor was a bit rough and outdated. Their breakfast leave little to be desired. Coffee taste like instant coffee. They had 2 voices of cold cereals. No muffins or toast. There were some coconut cookies that seemed like they'd sat out a... More

This was our second visit to the Monterey area. After staying in a more pricey waterfront hotel last time we looked for a reasonable priced place more inland. The Knight's Inn was a pleasant surprise only a few minutes from Fisherman's Wharf. Only thing is a fairly poor attempt at Continental breakfast. Otherwise, clean, quiet, and great location directly across... More
