Hotel's Favorite
Was a perfectly hotel with a lot of services inside like swimming pool, hydro massage, gym, bar, aliment shop inside and many more.
Outside there is a free big car parking.
Situated a bit far from the centre of Los Angeles but here you can get peace you need;around it there is a golf centre and a small park.
Was a business trip for 3 weeks but enough to get a positive feedback.
Raccomanded for a business trip or to stay with your family!
Five stars!

I usually stay at the Home2Suites down the hill from the Hilton Garden Inn when traveling with my family as we have had a good experience there. So when I had my next solo trip to the area I decided I'd give the Hilton Garden Inn a try.
However it did not start out so well as I checked in on the Hilton App that morning to request a north facing room on the third floor as I had reserved. Upon arrival at around 4:30pm, I was told that my requested room was not available and only south facing rooms were available on the third floor. Obviously I was not pleased as there were 2-3 rooms that met my reservation criteria on the third floor when I checked-in via the app that morning.
After speaking with Hilton Customer service and the front desk I received an upgrade to a room that met my desired criteria. It was a pleasant experience after that. The room was well lit which my spouse has trained me well to look out with dimmers on virtually all light switches. The fireplace was responsive and warm which made for a pleasing ambiance. In room refrigerator and microwave were relatively quiet in operation. Plugs were plentiful on the desk which made it easy to do work with my external monitor & laptop.
Hot water came readily and with good pressure on the soaking tub and shower. The onsite restaurant is operational for made to order dinner & breakfast. I presume lunch as well. My salmon dinner entree was delicious and satisfying. The service staff was friendly and attentive. Having only two tables to wait on probably helped and I am not sure how many other guests realized the restaurant was open. I was not until I asked.
Only downside to this location versus the Home2Suites is the outdoor only pool and lack of covered parking. But for a step up experience it hits the mark if only the situation with the check-in via the app could be worked out.

Hilton Garden Inn's are fairly consistent and this property is no exception. The lobby and large breakfast area are bright and sunlit and offer nice seating options and views of the Montebello golf course. The bedroom was clean and comfortable, if a tad bit tired. I've taken off one star because the rooms could use a refresh. The lobby was recently updated. As others have mentioned, this hotel is located off a main road, up a hill, and sits adjacent to a golf course. It makes for a quiet stay, but there's nothing within walking distance. It's a good value in the expensive LA area.

Stayed there for a week and can't complain. The room was spacious and clean, with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast seemed too pricey, so we had our meals in one of the diners nearby. The gym's OK, don't expect nothing fancy. The location is great if you're driving, if not- stay somewhere else, it's too far away from LA center for public transport. The traffic is insane, so start your day early, otherwise it's hours of traffic jams in any direction.

The hotel location is great and you feel very safe since it's a gated entrance past a golf course and a venue. The pool and the lobby is very nice as well, however the rooms were a little disappointing compared to rest of the facilities. Rooms were showing signs of age, especially the bathrooms. You could see mold growing in the caulkings.

Stayed here this weekend and room was very nice, from my understanding the hotel was recently renovated and it showed ! The furniture looked brand new as well as the carpet. I was also impressed on how clean the room was, no weird looking stains anywhere which is very unusual for a hotel. One thing in the bathroom they forgot to include was a toilet paper holder, the toilet paper was just casually placed on the toilet. The biggest annoyance in the room was the television. For some reason the channel constantly changed and at one point we had to turn it off since what we were watching kept getting interrupted. I don't know if its possible but it seems like our TV was picking up the remote from nearby rooms. Overall very impressed with the resort and would stay here again ONLY if they fixed the TV.

Our stay was excellent. The hotel is next to a golf course and parking is free. The location is not bad for driving into LA. The room was modern and clean. I recommend eating the cooked to order breakfast at the hotel, where the staff was friendly and prices were very reasonable. No complaints.

The hotel is very spacious and is in a quiet area. It also has a swimming pool. The facilities are very good and the rooms are huge.
But there are some things that should be improved:
1. I contracted with breakfast and I had to choose between 2 options: 1 of coffee, juices, breads and another that was a la carte (eggs, bacon, potatoes) and you could only choose 1 dish. This is not breakfast in the US.
2. We had to ask them to clean and tidy the room (they do not change towels, which we ask for every 3 days for example) every day, otherwise they do it every 5 days. I have never heard anything like that in my life. In any case, every day we asked them to do it and they did it, but it doesn't seem to me that we should ask for it.
3. There is no safe in the room. They offered boxes in the Lobby.
Ultimately everything could be resolved, but I think a Hilton should have this as standard and not on request.

Our room clean, updated, and provided the perfect stay for our trip. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. A wonderful breakfast was provided each morning as a grab and go option with the help of a staff member making it covid friendly. The property includes a beautiful golf course and some decent places to eat surround it. I have no complaints!!

sorry - just saw this. There would certainly be places to stay MUCH more central and closer to your sight seeing, but . . .we are from southern CA - so . .used to the traffic - and it's not that far from your areas of interest (30 - 40 minutes during a regular commute.) I would imagine if you stay closer to the sights you mentioned, you will pay more
They do not offer shuttle service, as far as I know. This hotel is about 25 miles from LAX. There is a service called Super Shuttle that operates from many California airports. They can get you to this hotel for about 35 USD according to the hotel website, but use that as an approximate guideline. Basically this hotel is best if you want to be in the vicinity of LAX or LGB but not really close. It's much more restful than being near the cities.
Hello Hilary,
It's about 26 miles from the airport to the hotel which would be a fairly pricey taxi, especially if it's during rush hour and traffic is heavy. I don't know how much it would be. You might consider trying Super Shuttle (you can Google Super Shuttle) as their rates tend to be a bit less for longer trips. You could also contact the Hilton directly for advice.
Good luck, travel safe, and enjoy your visit.
It will take you about 20 minutes. I actually traveled to San Gabriel every day during my stay at this hotel. I used the Waze app which helped me avoid traffic.
