The location is nothing great but I hear better than in town. We were too tired to find a free spot closer to Red Rock. Very clean, well maintained, excellent hookups and customer service! Also surprisingly quiet. Pool was closed. Bathrooms dated but so clean I was afraid to get them dirty.
If you are in this area and need a place to camp. This is it. DO NOT GO INTO THE TOWN OF MOJAVE!! This is friendly and helpful advice. The park is only about a half mile off the highway and is just off another intersection of highway. That said it was pretty quiet at night. The couple who own the park are very nice and willing to help with whatever is needed. I used my Passport America card and only paid $20. Well worth the price. They have shower and restrooms but I didn’t use them. They also have laundry facilities. Great stop and I would stay here again.
This was a one night stay for us on the way South, but if we weren't in a hurry we'd stay longer. Basic park, but clean, a little tight back in site, but full hook up. The staff were so friendly and made you feel very much at home. We'll try and return on our trip North.
We, as many others before us have done, did an overnight here en route to Paso Robles. We have a 40 foot diesel pusher so we were in the back lot which has electricity and water. We were on our own out there, apart from a few stored vehicles on the perimeter. FYI the advertised free WiFi doesn’t go to the back lot where we were. Wish we’d known that. It’s all dirt so the dog got filthy just hanging as we BBQ’d, but it was quiet and the stars were lovely! We had a swim in the pool which was clean. The pool shuts at 7:30 it seems. People were friendly and it seems like most of the park has long timers, who work in the area. We explored the Tehachapi area , about 20 mins. away, after checking in and getting settled. I’m not into trains but would recommend driving to the loop and watching trains negotiate the loop. …
Little tricky to find by GPS. Lots of long term tenants but everyone was friendly. Park is well maintained and clean. It was wonderful treat to have actual grass next to our spot. Doris was very friendful and shared the history of the park. Pool was welcome relief from the desert heat! I would definitely stay again. The place really had a small town feel.
This park is a converted mobile home park. Half to three quarters of their sites looked to be long term stays. It can be dusty, as the majority of the park is dirt. When we stayed, the pool was unusable. It is out in the middle of no where. All that considered, the people were very nice and helpful. The restrooms were old but very clean. It was quiet. We only needed an overnight stay so it was perfect for us. They did have WiFi but you'd need to be near the office. We didn't even try it.
Just an over night stop the pull through sites in the back are huge - well over a 100 ft long - we opted for a site with 50 amp and cable as sewer site they had available had 30 amp 18 cable stations - locals were LA stations as the town in about 100 miles north of LA Site had a BBQ grill and small patio We camped at Sierra Trails RV Park in a Motorhome.
Sites are spacious and there are trees. Staff is super friendly and helpful and it is quiet. The only problem which really wasn't much of a problem is the space for the trailer is gravel with a concrete "sidewalk" at the side. They aren't even so you have to be carful when backing up not to run up on the sidewalk. My husband is excellent at backing up and even he had a bit of a problem staying off the sidewalk. We would definitely stay again. We are pulling a 27' travel trailer.
We stayed here for one night on our way home from Colorado. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed in a full hookup spot and the campground was well maintained. The office staff provided us with menus and recommendations for dinner as well. We will definitely stay here again on our yearly trips! It is a great stopping point along the way.
Positive: Friendly, helpful staff. Maintenance/clean up guy up early and all day to make sure the place is clean and it is. Front desk staff Doris very helpful with directions and history. Full Hook ups with wifi and cable too. Place could use a little updating but clean rest rooms and showers, dusty road, but peaceful & easy to get to and good place for overnight, weekend or longer. There are a few "longer" RVers there. Sunset and sunrises are beautiful out there. Pets OK, Negative: Hwy 14 road noise is non stop, but not much you can do. I looked around the area for a place and this was the best around for 40 miles. Yes, I'd stay there again
