A well executed remodel. Very modern. Within walking distance to the Millbrae BART station, one stop from the SFO Airport stop. Remodeled room with really comfortable beds and pillows. Even the towels were thick and clean. Large, walk-in marble shower with a shower head suitable for even very tall people. The lady at the front desk was very professional and concerned. I felt like she would immediately take care of any issues we may have had during our stay. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. We had breakfast at Neil’s Coffee Shop a block away that was really good. I had the smoked salmon Eggs Benedict and my son had the Greek omelet with gyro meat, both were well prepared and well presented. It was a delight to see such attention to detail at the hotel and everywhere we went in Millbrae.

This place is very well maintained and well run. Communications before the stay were superb and the checkin was very complete. I was pleasantly surprised at the inexpensive snacks available at the front desk. As for the room, although it was relatively small, it was fully featured and equiped with everything you need: good wifi, coffee maker, hair dryer, iron, plenty of towels, a work desk, and a great shower. Best of all, and what kept surprising me, was that everything I used worked well and looked brand new. Kudos to housekeeping and management for that.

No microwave or fridge, but for the price I would not expect those. My stay was one night as a "layover" -- I chose it because it is relatively close to the airport. As for location, there are no end of restaurants, mostly Asian cuisine, within easy walking distance.

the front desk employees are not particularly friendly, although accommodating and no complimentary am bites. they offer wine and other tidbits for a minor fee. this small motel is surrounded by train tracks on one side and busy thourghfare, "el camino real," on the other side. the nearby train, "cal train," earily was a welcoming experience. grocery, restaurants and other eateries are near by, but may not be in walking distances for some people. we have vehicles and other delivery options for those needs.

my deluxe double queen room was well appointed and appreciated the somewhat vibrant color palate. the mattresses was very comfy, it even had a record player with four displayed lps. i played, "the byrds," and did not ask if they had a library of lps to choose from. the room had glass cups in the bathroom, ceramic mugs for hot beverages and two robes. this curious little motel adds a bit flavor in a rather drab selection of accommodations of similar if not larger settings.

The receptionist that checked me in was extremely pleasant and housekeeping had done a great job cleaning my room. That was the end of the positive aspects of my experience. With "SFO" in the name of the establishment, I assumed this was a travelers (vs tourist) hotel and that it would be a reliable and less-expensive place to get some sleep before embarking on my next flight. First, this is actually a motel, very thinly renovated to be called a hotel. And the rooms feel very motel. Based on pictures, I definitely got one of the worst rooms, so be aware not all rooms are equal. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. The bed linens are all polyester and bathroom towels are motel quality. My hope had been to get sleep, otherwise I would have stayed at the airport overnight. Instead, I got to lay awake in a room I'd paid for and paid to get to because of the people partying in the corridor and on the floor above mine until 2:30am. Staff is only on-call after the lobby closes at 10:30pm and texting at 1am resulted in absolutely nothing. I assumed they'd have quiet hours or someone around to assure guests could actually sleep but that isn't the case. Instead, the party group basically took over and had a grand ole party right above my head. Big waste of money. I do commend their photographer for making the place seem much nicer than it actually is.

While the rooms are decent, the service is abysmal. We booked a queen room but were given a room with two narrow double beds without any prior notice or explanation. To get the room we originally reserved, we were forced to pay a $25 "upgrade fee."

At check-in, staff promised us a 1pm late check-out, but they failed to record this in the system. As a result, housekeeping interrupted us shortly after noon, and management called the room at 12:30, disrupting important work meetings.

When I addressed these issues with the manager at checkout, she was completely unsympathetic and refused to waive any charges. The lack of accountability and professionalism here is unacceptable. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value reliable service and a respectful experience.

I was delighted with my experience at the Dylan. I needed a place to stay overnight after arriving at SFO. The hotel is about a ten minute drive from the airport. I checked in by 7PM. I was met by Nina, the warm receptionist and got into my room very quickly. I was surprised by how quiet it is, given its proximity to the airport. The enormous Millbrae CA BART station was right next door enabling easy and quick access to the entirety of the Bay Area.

My room was more than adequate and clean. I was also very pleased to find a turntable with four different discs by my bedside, reminding me of why ‘Frisco is the hippest place in the US.

I was pointed to a terrific Chinese restaurant a quick 3 minute walk across the street, where I, the only Caucasian in the establishment, had a filling chicken fried rice dinner at a reasonable price. Having eating chicken friend rice at Chinese restaurants for over 50 years, I was happy to have it include spices and nuances that were completely new to me.

The Dylan SFO is also very reasonably priced. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

My only niggle is that the “Beyond TV” system the hotel uses was confusing and, to my mind, limited.

“Well you’re going to have to dispute it with them.” said the female sounding voice on the other side of the line. The classic case of two corporate entities passing the buck back and forth at the expense of the hard-working consumer who will never will. Instead of deescalating the situation she/her? (at 11:01 am on October 11th 2024) had an attitude and started yelling at me and slammed the telephone receiver as she hung up. I’m just a local high school teacher who wanted a pleasant weekend staycation. The convenient location is the only positive comment that I have for this place. The basic rooms are very basic and for any semblance of comfort, you have to stay in a deluxe room, which of course, costs more money. Consumers lose again.

We absolutely loved this hotel! From the staff, to the decor, to the amenities and the proximity to SFO. We wanted a place near the airport where we could leave our car while traveling. The Dylan hotel offered 10 days of parking included in the one night stay. Great deal! Upon arrival our front desk person was amazing, kind and very informative! The rooms were very comfortable and have a great little perk of old school record players and vinyl records to listen to. A great touch! I would recommend The Dylan Hotel over and over again!

I have stayed at The Dylan SFO twice for business trips in the last six months. Both times I was impressed with the friendly staff, convenient location, and the fun atmosphere of this hotel!

It is less than a 5 minute walk to the BART/CalTrain station, which is one of the cheaper ways to commute in the city and get to any of the locations in SF or even travelling south of SF.

There are food places within walking distance and a grocery store. Chipotle, Starbucks, Walgreens, CVS, and Lucky grocery store are all right across the street!

The hotel is clean, they offer a daily happy hour 3-7pm AND they include a HOT breakfast! From my experience of trying to stay within a business budget of under $200 a night, this has beat all competition, and with breakfast included, I could not go anywhere else!

For my room, I always opt for the cheaper standard room which includes a coffee maker, but no microwave. If you have a few extra bucks, you could even save money on eating out by grabbing groceries at the local store and making food in your room with a microwave. If you don't feel like walking, most of the places deliver or you can use DoorDash and similar apps to deliver to your room directly.

In each room they have cute branded coffee mugs, refillable water bottles, and a wine opener. You are able to take the refillable water bottle with you on your travels each day while you are staying there and they have a filtered water station in the lobby.

Lastly, I don't have all the names of the amazing staff, but for sure Anna Page stands out. She happened to be working when I checked in and when I checked out. She is super friendly, provided a map of local areas, and remembered me as I was leaving. She made sure to ask about my stay and see if I had any concerns (I did not).

The Dylan is a great hotel. Very welcoming, helpful, & friendly staff. Clean, non-smoking facility. We stayed in a comfortably furnished deluxe room. Nice touches like reusable water bottles to use during the stay & a water filling station in the lobby. I appreciated the UCSF patient discount I received as I was staying after getting treatment. I was concerned about possible noise due to being near SFO & the BART & Millbrae CalTrain station, but my concern was unfounded. The only issue was that the tv malfunctioned. The wifi was weak according to our devices, so perhaps that was part of the issue. Staff came to our room twice to try to resolve the issue, but with minimal success. We were eventually able to watch live tv, though the guide wouldn't work so we had to flip through each channel. We'd hoped to be able to use the casting feature. Overall a wonderful hotel & I've booked another room there for next month when I get treatment at UCSF again.

I think about 30 minutes, but best refer to BART timetable on line. Weekend and night service is limited I believe.
