My 90-year-old mother and I stayed at the Stanford Guest House for about three nights. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. My mother needed a handicapped room which was perfect for her. The Guest House provided a shower seat as well as a raised toilet seat for my Mom's room at no extra charge. My... More

The Stanford Guest House is a quiet, calm, clean hotel about 1.5 miles off the main Stanford Campus, and immediately next to the SLAC research facility. Run by the university, it offers small, European-style (like, London style) rooms with bathroom/shower en suite. My room had a very comfortable full-sized bed, big enough for a couple used to close quarters. There... More

I stayed two weeks there, the rooms are super clean, really ! They are small, you have slightly more than the space for the bed. The breakfast is ok, even if I would have liked the orange juice also during the week. Without a car it is a little bit complicated but you have university shuttles during the week and... More

Visited for a conference. Rooms are quite small, but otherwise fine for what I needed. Got a special rate of $131/night for the conference, which is pretty good for this part of the country. Small desk is cluttered with the big TV, and shower stall small enough to make it hard to reach a dropped item without hitting your head... More

It's nice because you get the feeling of what it's like to stay near Palo Alto. The service is consistent every time I come. The breakfast is continental. There is a very nice coffee machine for free. They renew their furnishings every so often. There is also lot's of privacy because you get the security of the Stanford Linear Accelerator... More

Hotel is small but clean. Receptionists are nice and friendly. They also have free shuttle to the University. Located in the same campus with SLAC. We went back and forth along Sandy Hill but could not find the Guest House only to find out that you have to go up the hill and follow the sign to SLAC. There's nothing... More

Rooms are very small and very basic. But the included coffee, tea, continental breakfast, great staff and free on demand / scheduled shuttle service are all great - especially for such an affordable price. Would stay here again! Very easy to get around.

Hi last time I had a Islamic Manuscript class in Standford, I stayed in this hotel. this was in 2013. I loved the quietness. The breakfast was complimentary and the staff was extremely generous and accommodating. the campus bus stopped right in front of the guest house. It was a adorable place. I think only those who are visiting campus... More

After many visits to SLAC and the Stanford Guesthouse, I can conclude that this place is the best option for people who have a working visit to SLAC or in general visit the Stanford University and Palo Alto area. Prices are reasonable compared to other hotels in the area, while the rooms are impeccable, clean, large (at least by European... More
