I just wanted to add my review to all of the others. I don't think I can add much more than just redundant gushing about how great this place is! I took my significant other here for her birthday this weekend and we were both floored at how wonderful everything was: The rooms (nicely appointed, with a fireplace, no less),...

Thanks so much for the great review, Chris, it sounds like you guys had a great time in Mendocino! We are sorry you weren't able to experience the canoes/kayaks (next time!), but glad you got to take the bikes on the scenic river trail. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future - your freshly baked chocolate chip...

We stayed at the Stanford Inn March 7-10, 2014. What a treat! Something to note - this is not an easy property to get to, but its remoteness does add to its charm and tranquility. We flew into San Francisco from Denver and then drove the approximately 160 miles, which took about 4 hours. Be prepared for an arduous drive...

What a delightful review - thank you! With each guest, our goal is to not just provide a room - but to provide an entire experience of the Inn and surrounding areas. We look forward to seeing you back here someday, and thank you again for the wonderful words!

We spent four nights at the Stanford Inn and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Though not inexpensive, the amenities, gourmet breakfasts, free firewood, happy hour treats and ready access to the solarium that hosts a salt water pool, hot tub and sauna, made it an excellent value. We were so delighted and will most definitely return again one day!

I would like to begin this review by stating I have stayed here before and was amazed by my experience. That said; my second attempt to reserve a room did not have a positive outcome! On 2/25/14, I called to make a reservation for the dates of 5/24/14 through the 26th. I spoke with a very scattered Ann on the...

Negative reviews are at times spurious, and at times valid, pointing out something we could do better. Other times they are a thundering tantrum when somebody does not get what they want. In order to run the inn we need to have minimum stays in place - otherwise rates would have to go up. This issue is about a minimum...

We stayed here on the first stop of our 'tofu trail' exploration of vegan and vegetarian restaurants between SF and Seattle. The inn was very comfortable, service and welcome was great. Indoor pool and sauna were a great surprise and really delightful as was the in room fireplace. If you are looking for waves crashing mendocino experience this probably isn't...

Our favorite peaceful place to relax. Indoor pool in a garden room is inviting. We spent many happy hours there. The Inn is near beautiful Mendocino and the ocean which we could view from various places. We enjoyed walks and meditative stops throughout the gardens and along the bluffs. The room interior made me wish I could stay a long...

My husband and I spent two nights here with our dog this last weekend, and loved the Stanford Inn. All staff were friendly and accommodating; our pup loved the place; the food was excellent at the restaurant; and the rooms were lovely. Thumbs up; we will definitely be going back.

The Stanford Inn is a great Eco-Resort that offers outstanding hospitality paired with comfort and delicious food. We are not Vegans, but our stay afforded us a rich opportunity to experience another dietary culture. Our entire family of six enjoyed the Inn and all the wonderful adventures the area offers. Our granddaughters thoroughly enjoyed the pool, animals, and gardens. Joan...

First stayed at this hotel about 25 years ago--it was nice then, and has now added a lot of rooms and a lobby restaurant. The rooms have views of a large farm/corral area, complete with signature lamas. A peek of ocean is also there. At Christmas, the whole place is beautifully decorated, even the rooms. Excellent gift shop/bookstore in the...

My husband and I are not vegas but the food at the hotel was surprisingly good! We have stayed twice, one for a weekend getaway and previously for our babymoon.
