My husband and I arrived on a Sunday. My brother was also staying in a room. Our room was very clean and felt that they sanitized everything. The Covid made us uncertain about travel. We had 2 beds in our room, facing the beautiful garden. This B&B is truly a beautiful gem of Mendocino. Our breakfast was home made muffins one day and the night day we had a homemade granola parfait. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. You may have to book in advance.
A few notes on our stay (July 4th weekend 2020, Room: Sea Urchin): -Kim and Ian were amazingly attentive and gracious hosts -Sea Gull Inn is a lovely Bed and Breakfast; the quality of the room was above and beyond our expectations; lots of thoughtful little details -Breakfast is included and served to your room (on the patio in our case) -Prime location with easy parking What else can you ask for? Its rating is an unbelievable understatement
We were fortunate to stay at the Seagull Inn B&B on the first weekend Mendocino was reopened for lodging, dine-in and retail shopping. This is a fabulous 9 room and reasonably priced B&B with a very easy walk to the beach or downtown to the shops and restaurants. We stayed in the Driftwood room. Ample size with one of the most comfortable mattresses I have ever slept on...wanted to take it with me. The Innkeepers serve a delicious breakfast in your room. Huge muffins, fruit and good strong coffee! A wonderful way to start the day. This is a perfect place to use as your base from which to explore Mendocino and the surrounding area with delightful Innkeepers.
Our family of four stayed here one night and had a great experience. The innkeepers are very welcoming and have great advice on local attractions and restaurants. We stayed in the barn, which was super fun for our kids. It had a lofted space with a bed for them. We took advantage of the garden as well, eating breakfast out there. Breakfast was parfaits with fresh berries - yummy and fast. You couldn't pick a better location. Literally next door to Mendocino Cafe, where we had a delicious dinner. Steps from all the shops and the beach. lovely.
Our stay at The Seagull Inn came at the end of our two month road trip and was a perfect place to rest and reflect on our journey. We stayed in Driftwood, a lovely bright comfortable double aspect room with a view out to the sea. The Inn is owned and run by Kim and Ian, who made us feel so relaxed and welcome, we were sad to leave. The Inn compliments the town of Mendocino so well, both are hospitable, interesting and encourage visitors to relax and enjoy the moment. At the same time, Kim and Ian are professional and exacting in their attention to detail, the breakfasts were homemade and delicious. Lots of little sitting out areas to enjoy the hummingbirds and the autumn sunshine and beautiful walking along the headland or around the cute town. Kim and Ian are fantastic hosts and the Seagull Inn is wonderful, we loved every moment of our stay.…
