Christmas Eve and Christmas night at the Mac house is a long standing tradition for us. The current owners are terrific about making it feel like Christmas with music and decorations throughout the grounds. We stay in one of the cottages with a hot tub in the private garden to lure us oldtimers out there for a moonlight soak. Heaven!... More

We stayed with our two dogs in the barn suite and loved it so much. The dogs felt comfortable and so did we. The food is the best b&b breakfast ever! The service is so on top of it! The room - cozy and oh so comfortable The price was awesome cause we got it on discounted rate in appreciation... More

Bed and Breakfast in a nice little street a block away from downtown Mendocino. A block from the Ocean, great views. The Room 17 is great, it feel like a small charming, romantic and cozy house with a private patio! Old wooden style room with a great fire place, really top notch on the other side of the garden from... More

We missed our Thanksgiving reservations because our vintage car broke down. Very disappointing, but the staff was great and tried to book our room for us. They really helped us out. We finally arrived and had a wonderful "homey" time. Everyone is so friendly there.

We stayed 2 nights at the MacCullum House in the William Otis Kelly room. The hotel tries to position itself as one of the high-end luxury choices in Mendocino, but they aren’t in that league. Instead, we felt the hotel overpromised and underdelivered, leaving us disappointed guests. The hotel has a prime location in the heart of Mendocino, just a... More

Both myself (birthday girl) and my husband was quite impressed with the cottage and the preperations for our stay in advance. When we arrived there was a "happy birthday" Greeting there on the counter with a small bottle of wine. The Hot Tub had been pre-heated for us and Robes and plenty of towels for us as well. I cant... Upon arrival at the MacCallum House, we were treated royally. Everyone was very helpful when giving information and assisting with a smooth registration. The breakfast that is included with the price of the room, was excellent. There were plenty of items on the menu to satisfy everyone's taste. Our room, Josephine's Garden ,was very tastefully decoraed, comfortable and first rate.... More

I recently stayed at the MacCallum House with my two Westies. What a wonderful experience! The hotel staff welcomed us with special amenities, including: food/water dishes, comfortable pet beds, towels for the dogs, treats, poop bags and a nice blanket for the bed. Everyone at the hotel made us feel like special guests. I especially liked the free hi-speed internet... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the MacCallum House. The restaurant turned wonderful meals (breakfast & dinner) and our room was pretty nice. The only downside was that our room wasn't in the main house and this new property needed a bit of work. It was also a bit of a pain walking to/from the main house.

It's a very nice inn in the heart of Mendocino, lots of charm and great breakfast choices in the dining room (included). For fellow vegetarians, they have a yummy scrambled tofu with seasonal veggies, and fabulous cornmeal pancakes with huckleberries. They use organic and local Thanksgiving coffee. We stayed in one of the outlying buildings, a few blocks from the... More
