Beautiful grounds. We stayed in room 15, which was in the "barn" but it was just lovely. Room was next to the outdoor hot tub,but we had plans to attend the symphony in the tent within walking distance. The room has high wooden ceilings and bare floors, but was comfortable and clean. The breakfast from their Menu in the restaurant... More

We stayed in cabin 10 and it was a quiet stay. It does border Ukiah street and is divided into 2 units. I believe cabin 8 was an individual one if you do not want to be near the street in case there was a lot of traffic. We stayed 1 night on a Monday. This place was the best... More

The property is scattered among several cottages and outbuildings in addition to the main house, much of which dates from the 1880’s. One is a converted water tower, another was a barn, one is 4-5 blocks away, and another is a tiny playhouse whose bath is across a bit of public garden. Suffice it to say that the 30 or... More

We had the pleasure of staying at the View Crest Lodge on our West Coast escapade, Mendocino turned out to be a lovely stop on our drive from San Fransisco towards the Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. We stayed in room no 1 and it was gorgeous, plenty of space, loved the bathtub. Overall the room was decorated with such... More

We stayed here for one night and were somewhat disappointed with our overall visit. We selected the property because of its rating on this site. Initial impressions were fine. Check in was efficient and we were allocated unit 10. This unit backs onto Ukiah Street and has a hot tub. The room itself was a good size and as expected... More

My wife and I took the attic room which was nice but the bathroom was a walk down some stairs outside the room which wasn't very convenient. Otherwise the hotel is beautiful. The restaurant is fantastic with wonderful modern American cooking. The complimentary cooked breakfasts in the morning come from the same restaurant. There is also a very nice bar... More

Our party of three had dinner at the MacCallum , during a trip to the Mendocino area , and found it to be very good indeed . The service was good , there was an excellent selection of wines from the area , and we all enjoyed the food .

We were very disappointed with our recent stay at MacCallum House. We booked Room 7, the "Gazebo Playhouse." The write-up on the Inn's website is completely misleading. The first and most major deception is the statement, "The bathroom is a detached redwood room with a tiled shower, a stained glass window and Shikai bath and body products." Nice job of... More

This Inn come hotel come restaurant was fantastic. Lovely fresh sea food. The waiters really took care of us and helped us pick out wine and good local dishes. The setting itself is lovely both inside and out. Very chilled and enjoyable night there.

We stayed in the converted water tower which has a wonderful view of the Pacific Ocean from the 3rd floor - the main bathroom on the 2nd floor was beautiful - it too had a good view of the ocean - the breakfast was outstanding although it was hard to make a decision w/all the delicious choices.
