Some people overlook the Blackberry Inn because it is up the hill from the town of Mendocino. That would be a mistake. The Blackberry Inn is a charming series of units, each portrayed as part of a turn of the century village. The units are up to date with modern bathrooms and bedrooms. Because of its distance from the village... More

Enjoyed our recent 2 night stay at the Blackberry Inn while visiting the quaint village of Mendocino & surrounding area. Each room of the inn was western themed. We stayed in the Palace room which was spacious & had everything we needed. Appeared to be newly decorated in Victorian style & everything in perfect working order, along with a very... More

Found this place on the net and right up until we arrived I wasn't sure if I'd done the right thing ... but we had such a warm welcome from the receptionist that my fears were instantly put to rest. It was a surprise for my husband and he loved it. The site was beautifully silent (we had summer fog... More

We found Blackberry Inn pleasant , quiet, attractive with a partial view of the ocena and thought the room was relatively spacious, the parking right by the door and convenient and generally a quiet pleasant Retreat. Though not a full breakfast, they had coffeemakers, microwave, refrigerator and refrigerated (not powdered!) crea, excellent brownies and muffins for our room as well as... More

I loved the outside framing of the units decorated like different shops in an old western. Saved in the center was a wonderful meadow and a view of the ocean in the distance. My unit was surrounded by trees. The room itself was spacious and clean. No spiderwebs. Glistening windows. 2 queen beds, kitchen unit, separate shower, tub, sinks and... More

We stayed at the Blackberry Inn on our way from San Francisco to Seattle. The Inns a short distance from Medocino which is a great little town and is really pretty. When we arrived we instantly felt really welcome and Bobby the dog was happy to see us too. We stayed in the 'Saloon' named room, which was lovely and... More

Each room has a different set up with a different name, very clean, very quiet. Entirely different experience than staying in a hotel. Location is convenient, right off the main road, a couple of min drive to downtown Mendocino, yet hidden from the noisy tourist sections. Welcome staff is also a big plus.

We stayed at Black Berry Inn, School House cottage for a couple of days with our 5 year old. This was the second time we stayed at the same cottage. The first time was 5 years back. We really enjoyed our stay here and therefore decided to come back this year. The little school house was very comfortable for our... More

As my guy said the day we left, "we could have paid twice as much somewhere else and had just as good of a time." Blackberry Inn has everything that you need for a nice stay in Mendocino. We stayed in the Physicians room and found the bed to be large, the shower hot with great pressure, and the wifi... More

I am so sorry about the problems you faced. We will take care of the heating issue immediately! The water pressure issue is caused by the California State mandated low-flow shower heads, due to the severe drought we faced in previous years. Thank you for bringing the WIFI situation to our attention. We will investigate it. I hope you will... More
