Maybe my travel expectations are atypical. I wish that the Agate Cove Inn had told me that the Topaz cottage is hard by (like 50 feet from) Highway 1. I also wish they had told me that the Topaz cottage has only two tiny operable...More
By chance we happened to book a room at the last minute to break up our drive. Thank goodness we did! This was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. Best views in
Mendocino. Lovely staff. Complete privacy. Huge balcony. Gorgeous comfortable...More
We stayed in the Garnet in June. Two queen beds were comfortable, linens good quality. Well, yes, you have a view of the ocean....but in the distance. The coast is across the street and is rocky and a big drop to the ocean. The Inn...More
Great choice in Mendocino. Loved the town and really enjoyed Agate. Stayed in the Moonstone cabin. A bit further back, but great room. The breakfast was great. The innskeeper was very accommodating and friendly. Great views on front lawn. Would highly recommend.
The property, rooms, and service is outstanding. Roger and Lorraine are amazing in-keepers! The daily breakfast was very well made, and the choices were healthy and wonderful. I highly recommend this bed 'n breakfast.

We don't have a "happy hour" at the inn every day. We do have some special days where we host wineries and other days where we make appetizers and pour local wine. There is always beer and wine for sale in our gift shop and complementary cream sherry is found in each cottage. Our guest services room has coffee, tea, hot chocolate and homemade baked goods 24/7. Hope this helps.
