Had a wonderful stay with Denise & Mitch. A beautiful location with decent views of the bay. Our room was spacious and very comfortable, except that the bed mattress was very tired with limited support. Highlight of the stay was breakfast, lovingly delivered to the room by Mitch right on time. The parlor is a bit small and therefore interaction... More

Thank you Max for the nice comments. We find joy in serving and satisfying our guests, and we’re happy that you had a wonderful stay with us! Side notes to those reading this review: Our beds have newer mattresses topped with a feather mattress which makes for a soft cozy bed -- but if you prefer a firmer bed, please... More

Lovely room, bed and view. Great breakfasts and friendly and very helpful hosts, gave us the recipe for their french toast which was delicious. Lovely town and scenery, first time we stayed here but have visited the town several times hope to visit again if we can

We had a wonderful stay! The room was charming and totally clean, which is a big deal to us. And the breakfast was superb. We have stayed in other B& B's in the area and were disappointed but not here. Denise and Mitch bend over backwards to accommodate you and are friendly and warm. We had a great time! The... More

We started our two week vacation in Northern California here. Two nights at this welcoming and wonderful B&B gave us the perfect "reset". The featherbed in our room was amazing!! We slept with windows open. The crisp air and warm bedding allowed us to enjoy the ocean and waterfall sounds comfortably. Our breakfasts were world class!!! They were excellently prepared... More

Elegant and peaceful place with exceptional hosts, we met Kelly and Denis, they were both friendly and super nice. We were staying at Strauss suite which had beautiful ocean view and very elegant. Staying in Headland Inn was going to your grandmas house and just get pampered all the time. Best thing for me was not getting dressed in the... More

We arrived in Mendocino without any reservations at a hotel/B&B and were recommended to Headlands Inn BB by a local realtor. Great find!! This place is immaculate and the hosts were the most warm, welcoming folks we could've met! The suite that was available was the WJ Wilson room and it was amazing!! Perfect location for exploring the quaint town... More

Denise and Mitch are first class hosts. Breakfast delivered to outside our room was beautifully presented and very tasty. We had a downstairs room with separate hallway with toilet which was for our use only. Very comfortable and clean. 4-7 was tea and cookies time. Patterson -the pub - was fun for our 1st nights meal and Flows the second... More

My wife & I drove up the coast & stopped in Mendocino at the Headlands Inn & stayed one night. Even though we stayed in the smallest room (Annies' Room) it was delightful, comfortable, and one of the best B&B's we have ever stayed in. The inn-keepers (Denise & Mitch) are very friendly & informative. Breakfast was served to our... More

I hesitated over this review for a long time because I am clearly in the minority here. But we've stayed at a lot of B&Bs and I reserve my five stars for extraordinary B&Bs. For $200 a night I was expecting a lot more. That could be on me given the high rates generally in Mendocino. And in fairness, a... More

Thank you to our guest for your "pro" comments about the Headlands Hideaway. As the guest mentioned, the Hideaway is private and very quiet. For this reason, we offer this room to those who prefer their own space and who also prefer to do their own thing in regards to breakfast. We do not advertise the Hideaway as to having... More

First time staying at a B&B, so we were unsure as to what to expect. We picked this B&B based on the reviews and are happy to say that we had a great stay. We stayed in the little cottage next to the main house which was nice because it felt like our own little separate quiet place. Lovely, quaint... More
