Perch smugly in a bright, spacious, quiet, upstairs corner room. Complimentary glass of wine in hand, meander out to the balcony with a fresh breeze wafting street sounds upward, thin and spare, the hills beyond providing a backdrop for this sleepy village. If you like early 20th century craftsman ambience, you'll enjoy this place; it's an authentic time warp, graciously... More

My husband and I traveled from LA to Mc Cloud Hotel with another couple for three nights in late June. Our newly renovated second floor King Suite was exquisitely appointed, grandly spacious and was even equipped with a copper tub. We loved the best water on earth, views of majestic Mt. Shasta, a gourmet dinner in the garden, breakfasts cooked... More

Great old hotel that is clean and updated. The outside garden and mature trees make for beautiful views out the windows. The bed was comfortable. Nice sit down and order breakfast was included in the room price. Great place to stay when visiting in the McCloud area. When packing to leave, my husband missed packing the clothes he had hung... I stayed 2 nights at this hotel. I had a queen room for the first night and I returned a day later for a king room. Spacious rooms. Everything in the rooms worked. Friendly staff. Breakfast was cooked to order. Pancakes, quiche, eggs were all on the menu. Coffee, tea, juice and homemade granola were set up at the tables... More

This was our first time staying in the lovely hotel. I was surprised there was no TV, but it had great wifi. Our dogs were treated so nicely. Doggie beds, treats, and bowls were supplied. Breakfast was awesome! We enjoyed sitting on the porch with a glass of complimentary wine. The grounds were beautiful, like little gardens all around. Our... More

The hotel is gorgeous in a very small town with a brilliant view of Mount Shasta from the road. We arrived on a Wednesday and basically the town is closed so Gary the owner made us tea and coffee. The room was huge with brilliant air conditioning. There is no TV or radio in the rooms which is a blessing.... More

We've wanted to stay here for some time and had the chance to break a long road trip up by getting a few miles off of I-5. The mountain kind of begin here, and we could tell: almost predictable rain showers and even a little hail in late June. The town is trying hard to create a little mountain oasis... More

We had a group of 10 business travelers stay for just a single night. The entire group is now looking forward to going back. Cindy was so accommodating for our group. Including arranging for some s'mores and a firepit and even a local guitar player to come. The hotel is well kept, and the food is fantastic! Can't wait to... More

It began with a warm and personal welcome by Gary, owner and proprietor for just one year of this historic and beautifully restored hotel in a former logging town. A great history about this building is pictured on the walls of both the main and upper hallways. Albums grace the sitting room next to the fireplace that chronicle the history... More
