Cozy setting, charming rooms, super comfortable bed, elegant toiletries, FASTEST Internet we've ever experienced in a small hotel, delicious, homemade breakfast. The Sage Restaurant was also very good. Make reservations ahead to insure you get a spot!

For years we have been staying at the McCloud Hotel on our drive from the Willamette Valley to the Bay Area. It's a terrific break from traveling, an evening spent in a gracious world where you can sip wine in front of a crackling fire, enjoy the history and beauty of the hotel and surrounding countryside, have an excellent dinner,...

We have been staying in or around McCloud for 10 years. A couple years ago we got a pup and wanted to take her with us. We stopped by the McCloud Hotel to check it out. Cindy came out in the rain to see our pup and was obviously a dog person, so friendly. Cindy showed us around and we...

When you are well up in age (retired) and making a car trip in excess of 8 hours a day, you want to find a hotel along the way that will provide a nice and quiet lodging and dining experience. We found the McCloud Hotel in a directory of Unique Inns. It is ten miles off Interstate 5, just east...

We were going to camp, but the wet and cold weather put us off for a couple of days. So we bunked at the McCloud Hotel. It's always a trick, finding a place to stay with a pet. We usually opt for downmarket, but decided to treat ourselves. There were no queen rooms available, so we opted for the king...

My elderly mother and I stayed here recently for a wedding. Overall, it was a very nice place to stay with large, comfortable rooms (those that I saw) and a lot of charm. My mom uses a wheelchair and we reserved their only handicapped room well in advance (even noted on my acknowledgment). However, we were quite dismayed to discover...

Not really a hotel, more of a boutique country inn. What a hidden gem, beautiful decor, comfy room and a fantastic restaurant at which we had an excellent dinner. Wine and cheese in the evening, full breakfast in the morning. Besides all that, quite the value

We stayed over one night in McCloud while driving from Anaheim to Portland. The hotel was a great alternative to staying at a generic chain hotel. Not only is it incredibly historic, but the rooms are huge and oh so comfortable. The bed and pillows were some of the nicest we slept on during our entire 2-week road trip. The...

We stayed here when my husband was fly fishing. How charming and historic this hotel is. Turn of the century(20th not 21st😜) and just takes you back. The rooms could use a little work but the lobby with the fire place and just homey, comfy couches to read a book or play chess just made me want to throw the...

Stay at The McCloud Hotel!!! We have increasingly chosen to stay in McCloud instead of Shasta City (on our trips between Portland and Monterey), because it is a way, way better place. Calm, quiet, beautiful...Mount Shasta hovers very near and dramatically so. Even more stunning views from the McCloud Golf Course (just South of town and the golf course restaurant...
