Seven couples had a wonderful stay at the McCloud Inn after great days at Mount Lassen and Lava Beds National Monument . The staff was friendly and helpful to accommodate our large group for dinners. The meals were very good.

Can't get much better than the McCloud Hotel. A wonderful place to stay in the quaint town of McCloud. Stayed 4 nights which turned out to be not nearly enough. There's so much to do, and the hiking is great. Breakfast & dinner at the hotel is truly special. If you're going to hike the mountain, skip the town of... More

We recently spent 1 night here on our way home from Crater Lake. The facilities are unique and very comfortable. There is a very nice small restaurant on the property which we ate at. After a long hike in the afternoon, it was so nice to come back to the McCloud, have dinner right there, relax, and not have to... More

This was our 2nd stay at the McCloud Hotel and it lives up to our previous visit that was fabulous: all aspects were pure cozy, comfort . Clean, quiet, delicious breakfast and a restaurant that is 5 star, as well.Gary and Cindy are an integral part of the community now and helped organize a 2 day Bluegrass Festival.. Lots of... More

We stayed here the first weekend in June and the town was so quiet and still when we pulled into town. The hotel stands out with its historic charm and the beautiful vines framing the entrance. It was a very relaxing way to start the weekend. Walking through the upstairs hallway feels like a step back in time. Very charming.... More

We spent the night here on our way from the San Francisco Bay Area to the Oregon Shakespeare festival as we have done foe several of our recent trips. The hotel is located about 12 miles from interstate 5 in the small previously active lumber town, which is now a shadow of its former self. Fortunately the hotel which is... More

This grand old lady of a hotel is a delight. Marvellous breakfasts with home made everything, on white table cloth, and linen napkins. Happy hour wine in the lounge, where guests actually mingle and chat. No TV, just peace and quiet. Big verandas to sit and drink your coffee, and gardens to enjoy. A marvellous place to unwind and enjoy.

I can't say enough about how wonderful this hotel is - beautiful rooms, quiet, classy, great food, friendly staff! It had been 10 months and I was definitely ready for a return visit as part of a four-day vacation. A full breakfast is cooked to order and there are several selections to choose from. Wine and nibbles are served daily... More

This is an older property, historic, and the rooms reflect that character. They are nice, but have the feeling you're staying in older times. This hotel is QUIET and they shut the place down about 8 or 9 although available if you're checking in late. We had spent some time in Mount Shasta and had dinner there, but enjoyed a... More

We've stayed at the McCloud Hotel several times in the past couple years, and each time it's like coming home to friends and family. Cindy, the Inn Keeper is incredibly hospitable and welcoming and the staff are all friendly, too. The hotel is lovingly and beautifully restored and immaculate, and the craftsman decor in the common rooms as well as... More
